Green - Cycling

This is a high quality lubricant that Shimano uses on their parts. It's fluorescent green and a bit overpriced, but it's Shimano.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Requires Socket

Great value for money lube

I bought a 100g tube and FYI this is the best lube you can buy. Very sticky and incredibly waterproof 100g tube lasts a long time too

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Reliable

Seems to be a good lube.

Acts as a lubricant. I only filled the chamber with about 25-35% grease and heard no grinding or rough feeling from the bearings. I'm happy with that.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Security

Very good bearing grease.

Used for needle bearings on pedals. Before that I used Park Lube. I washed off all the old grease with a degreaser. Lubricated pedal bearings and axles. Doesn't matter. Spins easier, oil is smooth. I've also used it for headsets and wheel bearings and it's great. Mind you, I couldn't get it off my hands, it's the most "greasy" lube I've ever used. It should withstand water with no problems. It's also very sticky. A premium lubricant like no other.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

The best lube in my extensive collection.

I'm a lube freak. I make my own tungsten sulfide suspension oils because there is nothing better than what is commercially available. I have a collection of most lubricants (oils and greases). This is the best lube ever! Super smooth, heat resistant, hydrophobic, holds up and even looks cool (green). Slightly better than my previous favorite, Royal Purple. Because of the price, I still use Royal Purple for most large work, but Shimano for anything precision or small in size.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

High quality bearing grease - gets the job done.

I prefer the old school Campagnolo Special Grease (beige stuff that comes in a little tube and is made in Italy) but it's very hard to find and very expensive to buy. German made lube and this is my second choice as it is very silky and does not degrade with exposure to water and dirt. Just re-greased the bearing on my 1980's Dura Ace and Specialized headset and Suntour bottom bracket - everything seems as smooth as a fresh install. You can't go wrong with this lube.

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • Negative present

High quality and expensive lubricant.

Some might say that a large tube of branded general purpose lithium automotive grease (like Castrol or Valvoline) should work equally well in 95% of bikes and cost a lot less. as "special" tubes of essentially the same product. These people are almost right, well, almost. I've used some bike lubes regularly. Yes, some of them are designed for specific applications, but in reality most are only sold as general purpose lubricants with the clever name "bike specific". There are many brand namesโ€ฆ

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • mediocre
