SHIMANO R203P Disc Brake Adaptor Review

The adapter is great if you are making a 203mm rear rotor. Just be careful who you order from. If they say they will deliver between the 13th and 18th, plan for the 18th. Even if they are only 1 state away from us.

This was purchased with 365 cycles. The packaging was opened and sealed with tape. Item was not damaged but still worked for me.

This adapter allowed me to install a 203 o on the back of my e-bike. I had to sand down the top of the Juin-Tech caliper that hit the bike frame a bit. This adapter also worked great when you needed larger rear brakes.

I decided to upgrade the rear brake on my newly rebuilt eBike as the rim brakes were not giving me the stopping power I needed. I needed this TRP 203mm disc adapter in combination with a TRP Slate G4 caliper and it fitted perfectly.

I really like the quality here. I have an identical Taiwanese part of decent quality and a comparison is close. it's just better in every way. Thread, hole pattern, material feel and look. Everything looks just as good. Magura etc. Nice job Shimano.

I didn't understand that this type of adapter is from different brands but the same mm (203) specs are not the same. I have a Shimano/Deore caliper, but the adapter I used didn't quite fit and the caliper was adjusted too far. This puts it in the right place.

Upgrading my Motiv tandem from 160mm to 203mm rims. This part is suitable for mounting type IS on the frame. The adapter is much wider than the one it replaced but fits well with a small gap between it and the new drive. Note: In the case of IS mounts (2 holes parallel to the wheel axles), it must be specified whether the brake is at the front or at the rear
