That's perfect! I used felt pads (which didn't stay in place) on the legs of the chair. They stay in place wonderfully. I can easily move chairs across the floor without damaging the hardwood floors.

These chair leg caps seem to be the answer to all our felt pads that keep falling off. They hold the chair legs very well and now we have no more noise on our tile floor. Since they are new I can't say how long they will last. We are glad we bought them.

Finally a product that does what it's supposed to do AND lasts a long time. I'm very happy with it and will definitely order again. The chairs still slide smoothly on hardwood floors without damaging the floor and the steps are transparent so they are almost invisible when placed on chair legs.
