you are doing great work My friend also has a Supertenere.

Works great. My friend also has a Super Tenere with 80k miles and in shock as it is new. No leaking fork seals. I also have 80,000 miles on my Super T but I had 3 leaking forks. So I'm hoping I don't have any more fork leaks now that I've installed Sox.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Weight

Don't look anywhere else. These are the perfect fork seal protectors.

This is exactly what I needed. I wanted something that would be easy to install without removing the fork tubes and still provide protection for my seals. I will always use these Sox shocks on my bikes. Now I have them on my kx450f. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Some trouble

They work great. on shock absorber

To give my "01 DRZ 400" a fresh look I removed the OEM fork boots and bought these. They're short, which is what I wanted, and EZ on and off. Just take them off and cum. I've ridden them off-road for about 150 miles and had no problems, but I still think the maximum protection from rocks cutting your fork tubes (and causing leaky seals) is good old fork boots.

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • concise instructions

Worth the money to keep your shock absorbers!

They really protect you from bumps. We built my husbands bike up, not ours, after a few rides you could see shock oil leaking on mine and my husband wasn't leaking at all. We cleaned out the shaft and removed some small rocks that were interfering with the inner seal. Now they are on both bikes! They are very easy to put on and take off. We film to clean them and the bikes separately.

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly

Smaller fork sizes

Read reviews before buying. Someone said they would fit a 37mm fork. They fit, but not really well. I bought a pair for my son's KLX 125. The top strap wraps around the fork multiple times, and the middle and bottom straps barely connect because the fork is so small. It leaves a small hole for dirt to enter. It will probably work fine on larger forks, but I wouldn't recommend these forks on smaller bikes.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Negative impression

Shock Sox 6# black for motorcycles and powersports

Nice material (nylon, neoprene and velcro). The top of the Velcro wraps completely around the fork tube (to hold the socks) 1 1/2 times. Time will tell if the rubber will hold up after being removed, cleaned and then reinstalled. The two lower Velcro straps appear to completely cover the down tube as well. I'm told they need to be removed and cleaned pretty much after every ride to keep stuck dirt from damaging the fork, boot and oil seal. Overall it seems to be a good product.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Nothing
