Rebound is much more than damping. so it shoots like a rocket when you open the hatch. maybe an aftermarket spoiler makes it more subtle.

They worked great on my 2003 Mustang. They're not very difficult to squeeze, and when you open the trunk you just lift them up about three to four inches and they'll do the rest.

Overall they were longer than the originals on my 2003 SVT Cobra coupe. In addition, the pressure pipe is much longer than the original. This causes the pipe to fall down and the front corner of the trunk lid to "bend" up. I had to return this item and was looking for something that actually fits.

Works well, but stronger than necessary. I had problems laying on both sides. To fix this I'm using one of the old ones with the new one, which helped. If you're using a cab, it will push your trunk up too quickly, making it difficult to close, and also not closing fully for proper spacing and fit/fitness.

Installed both in 5 minutes. you are doing great work They will be too strong if you don't have a factory fender so make sure you get the right ones! Now I can literally open the trunk with one finger. Easy to close with one hand. I definitely appreciate that the trunk doesn't close due to a gust of wind or gravity trying to rip off my head or arms!
