Great product.: Lifting Legs

I've been using the tool box on my truck for two years with no hits. I've broken my fingers many times. It took me ten minutes to replace them with new shock absorbers. Easy to make and works better than new!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • High Price

Ideal for pickup tool cases

Perfect for standard aluminum tool cases. I thought it might be too strong but it worked fine. 1 is strong enough to hold the top and 2 opens quickly or hard. It was the perfect power.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Doubtful

Leer Capper/Topper Vepagoo Gas Struts

I used props on my Leer Topper window. One rack worked as advertised while the other was very stiff for compression, definitely over 24lbs. Compression spec for 12" gas spring. I used one of the old gas springs that still had some compression to make the window usable.

  • Absolute Legend

Perfect replacement for weather box

I have used these on the lid of a 184 lo-side weather box and they work and fit perfectly at a fraction of the price of the original part. This is exactly what is required to open the lid when the latch is released. They would also fit my 124 cross box and I will buy them again if they need replacing.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Not the best

Great value replacement parts

For my application I chose the closest size to what I could replace. The size photo helps a lot. They were 1 inch longer but shorter when compressed. It took a bit of effort to remove the length to fit the ball studs due to length but did exactly what was needed to keep my Cadet GT1554's hood up all the time. Away while closure is still a possibility.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Not recommended best in spares

Edit: After the temperature dropped below 40 degrees these shock absorbers stopped working. I do not recommend. I am revising my rating to 1 star. Worked great, great price. Though they're barely strong enough to hold my thick steel toolbox lid. The listing says they each apply 40 pounds of force - I'm pretty sure this toolbox lid doesn't weigh 80 pounds, but like I said, they barely keep it up. It would be better for a lighter/aluminum tool box.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs
