I bought it mainly based on reviews about reduced noise.

Love the fact that this is a much quieter helmet than I've had before. I like the adjustable home screen, it stays in one place and doesn't flip back. I like the longer sun visor on the helmet. I HATE the ratchet chin strap, there is very little padding between the neck and the strap, and I have metal around my neck, I HATE IT. It would be great if there were grooves or a channel on the inside for putting on the glasses. It hurts to put them on. Overall a good helmet (except for the chin strap)

Broken motorcycle and powersports vents

This helmet looks great and fits me perfectly but when I received it it was still cold and even with the vents closed it was leaking and I had constant irritating cold spots parting. The rear ventilation is passive, not active, so it cannot be closed. It is designed to create suction, which draws air in through the top vent. Apparently, even with the top vent closed, it's not a perfect seal and air is still getting in. For this reason I returned the helmet. Others have complained about the same

Nice part of the dome. Bad boxing.

Liked the helmet. Very comfortable and close to my head. Some wind hits the ears but isn't bothersome, there's recoil from the rear passive deflectors but it's not scary. The ratchet chin strap digs into my neck a bit, but I'm sure things will fit better if it's completely broken. The biggest issue for me was that the bag containing all the accessories in the box was ripped open leaving the parts scattered and a leaking silicone bottle soiling my sheets and helmet sock. I understand what…

Good sun visor design but not available anywhere else

I ordered the Shoei GT-Air 2 for its comfort features. I like the built in sun visor, chin guard and built in lock. I switched from Sportbikes with Shoei X-11 helmet to a Sport Cruiser and a GT-Air 2. The GT-Air 2 feels comfortable when I'm riding more upright, not before when I'm leaning forward. with his helmet tilted and tucked in on a sports bike. Despite wearing earplugs when riding, the helmet feels quieter compared to my previous X-11. I have some complaints about him. When I stopped I…

Great helmet - some quality control issues

I had my doubts about paying significantly more money for this helmet having used cheap helmets. Finally, they are both DOT approved, have an internal sun visor and fit well. I finally broke down and bought this one. Compared to the cheap one, it is lighter, but above all it has noticeably less wind noise when driving. The vents really work. Cons: 1. Bluetooth is an add-on and expensive. You have to use the Sena model which is very overpriced2. Maybe it was just bad luck, but about a month…

Premium helmet at a premium price.

Some context: I cruise and never drive faster than traffic. I don't drive with a windshield. I started skating again after a few years break. I've been looking for a good full face helmet for a long time. Something light, well made, comfortable, quiet, well ventilated (if needed), with an internal sun visor and decent defogging. My previous helmets when I rode both Cruiser and Standard were a cheap BILT number and a nameless half helmet. The BILT was incredibly loud at any speed above crawl…
