My scrapers arrived on time and almost as advertised. After cleaning them of rust, I measured them with vernier calipers and found that they are all 0.027 gauge. I thought there were a heavier stock or two, but that suits me. They bend easily. They are NOT ready for serious hull work and the only burr they have is from the first stamping. To get an overview I ordered 3 scraper sets: this Shop Fox set, the Crown set and the Veritas set. I'm a power tool enthusiast and fairly new to using cabinet scrapers. The edges of the Shop Fox scrapers looked very rough, much worse than the crown. Each edge required 25 to 30 initial strokes of file compared to 7 or 8 for the crown.
