Enhance Cleaning Efficiency with Shop Vac 90526 Small Foam Sleeve Review

I wish I had chosen a more solid model. It does the job of sucking up water on my enclosed patio in strong winds and rain, but it's not a quality product. The place where the hose enters the canister is just a hole cut in the plastic so the connection is weak. The foam bag filter (for wet use) does not adhere well enough, causing it to fall into the pool of collected water.

Many here complain that the Foam Filter Sleeve (90526) is too small and breaks during installation. I suspect they are not using it as designed. The foam sleeve is NOT designed to fit over the cartridge. It is only intended for wet applications and is installed in place of the filter cartridge. In other words; Wet application, use foam sleeve only. Dry application, use cartridge only.

Fits easily into the body of an industrial vacuum tank body for removing water (like dishwashing or bath water if you have plumbing or cleaning up spilled water). You must remove the paper canister filter before use, and it's best to empty and wipe down the internal dust from your vacuum before adding water. After use you will need to dry the inside of the tank again (and hang up the hoses!) before reinstalling the original paper canister filter. I had to be careful not to stretch or deform…
