Looks great and sounds great

Looks great and sounds great on my SM57 mic. Does a really good job of mitigating lisp etc. A bit tiring to put it on properly. You need about 1mm of space between the metal microphone shield and the windshield foam. Have you ever noticed that the President of the United States uses this microphone (usually a pair of Shure SM57) when he holds a press conference?

It works for Pyle PDMIC78

Wow! I actually have this on a Shure SM57 clone, Pyle PDMIC78. And it fits flawlessly as if it were the SM57. So if you have a PYLE version of the SM57, YES! It REALLY fits perfectly! Pyle PDMIC78 is very vulnerable to explosives, so this problem is solved. Of course, if you lip-sync with him, you'll still catch some explosives. So try tilting it towards the corner of your mouth. And it's flawless!

Good work. for microphones and accessories

I have since switched to a different windscreen, but it has worked well with my Shure gaming microphone. This eliminated enough breath and pops to be recommended. However it didn't work fully and I switched to A81ws which is much more expensive but works better. Highly recommended if you just need to do something for in-game or Skype calls. Get the A81ws if you want to do vocals for songs or podcasts.

This microphone is ideal for the Shure 545 series.

This mic is perfect for the Shure 545 series. Many reviewers mention compatibility with the SM57, which is probably the case, but also with the 545. This requires a very small flathead screwdriver (like a small precision screwdriver) . . I have no problem with it being unsafe, crooked or anything else weird. It does its job well too, just follow the instructions (leave a few millimeters of space between it and the mic grille). Nothing more to say except that when you open it you won't lose the…

Secure fit; worth the money

It seemed like every time I turned around, especially on a small stage, I would bang my shoulder on the damn windscreens that came with my trusty SM57s , and they would land in a puddle of beer on the floor or have fun in the wind across the stage. They attach to the microphone without (as far as I can tell) dampening or altering the sound. I set up sound for the Dixieland festival, which used my mics and board for six or seven shows a day, and I didn't lose a single windshield. I lost three…

Great addition to windshields and pop filters

Amazing I can whisper my SM57 resist and not have to worry about my ins and outs. Normal speech, vocals and acoustic guitar don't interfere even a foot away from the microphone. The only thing I would like to see is a hard case for it. I don't know how well it rebounds off a pocket shot and I won't test it. I'll find something to wear. The microphone has a plastic sleeve that protects it from the set screw. Works well. Hold on. You don't have to twist it down, I'm sure you can, but you don't…

Want an SM7B at a great price? Take this and 57.

I bought this specifically to use the SM57 in spoken language and the tone it produces is almost identical to the SM7B while pops and Explosions are greatly reduced! And it doesn't cost $400 OR requires a preamp. As a windbreak, it does well against explosives and the like, but doesn't have much of an effect on sibilance. If you're running this on 57 and want to budget as close to 7B as possible and don't care how it looks, you can go with the A81WS instead, but the A2WS looks MUCH less goofy…

What I needed best in accessories

I've been working from home as a medical translator for about the last year and have used the SM57 for most of my phone calls. It worked pretty well, but I often heard puffs of air when I spoke (especially words beginning with "r"). It got annoying so I finally decided to try one of these. I really couldn't be happier. I've noticed a much smoother, more balanced sound and no longer have problems with explosive instruments. Installation was very easy and the instructions were clear, although you

Perfect fit for SM57

Works great with SM57 as it is made to fit size 57 exactly. Use this item if you plan to do a lot of vocal work with the 57. Keep in mind that the clamp screw is very small and you will need a precision flathead or jeweler's screwdriver to install it. Other than that it works great and looks a lot better on the mic than the big bullet sized windshields on SM58 sized mics. Highly recommended. And by the way, if you're on a tight budget, I highly recommend the SM57 for vocals and voice acting…
