🎤 Shure CVG18-B/C Gooseneck Condenser Microphone with 18-Inch Length, Inline Pre-Amp, Flange Mount, Cardioid Pattern in Black Review

This mic was just added to a small podium at my church for non-spiritual preachers. He's had a tough weekend of training after getting it and it's amazing! The only problem was the speakers' bad habit of pulling the mics closer to their mouths, which is totally unnecessary with this mic. In fact I have an older Shure gooseneck on my lectern and will probably switch to this model as it is so effective. Great job Shure!

Our church's pulpit mic stopped working last Sunday and we've replaced it with this surah. It's an amazing difference and a very crisp and clear sound. I can't say enough how good it is. It continued to sound and sound amazing even as the preacher shifted from side to side, moving his mouth closer or further away from the mic. We were so impressed we thought we should have replaced the old model a few years ago, although it still works.

That's all a Shure should have. Very good microphone at a good price. I use it as a table top/pedestal and it's great. Read the other reviews carefully so you know what you're getting. If you don't have an XLR jack where you want to use it, you'll have to order the base separately (picture is deceptive). So this isn't as good a deal as it seems at first glance - it's a long one. This Shure Podium mic couldn't be more fun. We bought the 12" version of the neck instead of the 18" as the longer version would probably be too close to the preacher for this particular pulpit. We bought it to start a live broadcast of a church service and didn't have a sound system. There is other background noise during service and this mic does an excellent job with just the speaker.
