Everything about the purchase suits me, a very necessary product.

I would still suggest that the manufacturer produce this microphone immediately in a universal version: so that the microphone would initially be connected to its adapter via mini-xlr 4pin! Of course, you can buy such a microphone separately with a mini-xlr and a separate adapter adapter, but it’s much more expensive, and in my case, connecting to the radio system is extremely rare, basically the orcs always work from their place

Pros
  • Excellent sound, suitable for both live work and sound recording, super cardioid avoids "extra" hit, suitable for trumpets, saxes, trombones and even French horns . literally any "brass"!
Cons
  • Haven't revealed yet

Best buy in years

Playing trumpet in a band I wasn't sure how well this would work. That far exceeds my expectations. I no longer have to point the horn directly at the mic, the mic goes where my horn goes. I was able to move freely on stage and my sound is incredibly stable. Highly recommended by Trumpeter. :)

Works and sounds good but not tested on stage yet.

Arrived on time, took it out of the box. Please note that the cable to the microphone was very thin, but that didn't stop me. I grabbed my amp and horn and plugged them in and Walla! Nothing, no sound, ran through the instructions but there is no sound. Finally, I read some other reviews and found that it requires phantom power. So I had to buy a phantom unit and the sound was good! If I had known it needed phantom power I would have bought a more expensive wireless one. The company had to…

Best bang for your buck

This is the best lapel microphone you can find at this price. I use it for tenor saxophone. I have a mic pre that provides phantom power and some warmth and punch. That's convenient. I just run it through the preamp, into the stomp box, and out to my amp. It has an XLR clip so you can attach it to your bag so you don't have a small cable getting in the way. It was much more comfortable than playing into a stationary mic. The downside is you can't play with mic proximity, but I'm willing to…

Excellent value for money

This is a fantastic mic, I've used it on cello and flute in front of over 1500 people, really reliable, you just have to spend a bit of money without really trying to find the best position to avoid feedback from the wedges. EQing through this mic is easy, even changing the frequencies of the cello and the treble of the flute. If you're considering this for a flute, you'll need to match the microphone. In my case I used a hose clamp and covered it with felt to hold it in place and not damage…

A complaint from a plunger user. The rest is perfect.

Fantastic product with amazing sound. I use it with both trumpet and alto saxophone. My only real complaint about this, however, is that the thickness of the clamp prevents my piston muffler from being used as much as I would like when it's attached to the bell. The next complaint isn't actually related to this mic, but I hate how difficult/expensive it is to find a TA4m to XLR converter. I was hoping to plug it directly into my audio interface, but after looking at the cost of the adapter…

Died after a gig Best in Instrument

Attention buyers. This "Shure" isn't for long. I bought this last year to mike my tenor banjo for concerts and it was only good for one night. Yes, an achievement, and then kaput! I plugged it back in for the next show and there was no signal. Luckily there was a home mic I could use otherwise I would have been in the creek. I've always been wary of it because I know it's not something to throw around. One look at the unboxing and you can immediately see that the flimsy cable is clearly too…

Versatile, crisp and well built

I bought this for my resonator guitar mic (the built in piezo sucked and other pickups just didn't pick up the resonator biscuit of this style of guitar). This Shure microphone did it. It sounds pretty clean and authentic, way better than other dodgy little mini mic preamps or acoustic pickups. If you're using it for guitar, it can be difficult to find a place to attach it so it stays secure and doesn't get in the way of your playing. (You can see I've been working on my photos). It is…

Excellent quality and price

About once a month I play tenor saxophone in a cover band. I didn't expect this mic to make a huge difference, but it did. Personally, I was tired of being limited to a regular mic and wanted to be able to move more without having to adjust my mic stand every time. I don't know much about audio equipment either, but I know Shure's reputation and think it's a fair price. It sounds amazing for the price and definitely outperforms my previous setup. I was initially hesitant between wired and…
