Cable organization for fuses and accessories

This box is well made and easy to install. It added organization and security to my boat's electronics. I use ATO fuses that light up when the fuse is lit. Since the device is located in the dark center console, changing the fuse is simplified. This increased the security of my devices that use built-in fuses, such as B. the radio and the GPS chartplotter. I was struggling to decide between closed and open fuses. I think uncoated was better in the long run due to the south Florida humidity…

Simple, cheap, simple

Instead of spending lots of money on a "universal" car or hot rod electrical kit, this works better and cheaper. The panel feeds one side of the fuses over a common bus. Only one wire is used for power supply of the panel, the other for grounding. If you wish to add circuitry in the future, simply crimp the connector onto the post and insert the fuse. I use separate panels - one for switchable 12v, one for 'always on' 12v and one for 'things that need power when the light is on'.

Connectors come loose causing power failure

I installed this on my boat to replace an old fuse and get more fuse slots. At first this seemed to fit. I managed to tidy up the wiring under the console and hook up all my devices. One of the devices is an echo sounder. During my first ride the sonar turned on and worked, but as the boat went through the water the sonar turned off. I found the problem was the positive connection to that fuse box. It got loose. So I moved the connection to the second port on the fuse box. It worked for a few…
