The quality is top! Perfect fit and everything you need to get the job done right. With a Merc service manual and some basic tools, any DIY enthusiast can do this to save money. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS ON "T"!

Picture shows pump base, housing, coupling, impeller and all seals and O-rings. I received the base, housing, impeller and clutch. Useless without pad. If spacers are not included, the image must reflect this.

Easy install but I took it apart when I replaced the bottom unit and wanted to use the same impeller and it fell apart. I have only used this boat 5 times this year. It didn't even take 3 months. I would not recommend this product until it makes the impeller stronger.

Good set if complete; I was missing an impeller that needed to be replaced. Repair was not possible the same day, I had to buy another wheel separately as it was not included in the kit. Inside the box was a parts list, the packer had to use it to make sure it had all the parts.

According to Sierra Technical Support, the torque for the pump bolts is 60 in-lbs. According to Clymer's manual for the Merc Alpha 1 Gen 1, I used 90lb and it crushed the pump housing around both 7/16 bolts (started sagging at about 75lb so didn't get to 90). ). I used 20 inches per pound for the screw. Nice kit but deducted two stars for not making the torque information public.

Received the package quickly. Installed the next day, everything worked. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is that there were extra parts, a couple of small gaskets and a couple of o-rings that I didn't need, which made me wonder if I'd done the replacement/installation correctly have. So a bit of a waste of my time. But I'd rather have a little more than too few or missing parts. Great price too.

This kit had everything I needed to replace an impeller on my 140 Mercruiser Alpha and all the seals were a perfect fit. I didn't need the included plastic base and spacer from another model and used the included wear plate. I had to order a new trimmer and screw as the one on the bottom block was stuck and I had to drill out the head of the screw to remove the leg. Will buy again in a few years if replacement is needed again.
