Disappointed good for motion detectors

Unfortunately they didn't work in my street lamps. I bought these to be compatible with the flame lamps bought at the same time. Not sure why, because incandescent bulbs work fine on their own, but not with incandescent bulb sensors. waste of money. It will likely cost more to send them back than they are worth.

It's not a motion sensor, it's a light sensor. That's good, that's what I wanted, but.

they go out when the light is on. So they should AT LEAST be used with some kind of heat shield light shield reflective cone or something like that and they don't come with anything like that. The light itself therefore disturbs the light sensor, causing it to dim or flicker.

Didn't work at all, very upset

I bought a couple of these to try and automate my outdoor lighting and match my neighbors. They installed each other in my street lamps and waited until it was completely dark. None of them intervened. je. Whatever I try I was so frustrated because I couldn't find them locally and I had similar ones in a previous home. The good news is that this purchase paved my way into home automation and I have since switched to WeMo products and can now fully automate my lights by time, sunrise/sunsetโ€ฆ
