Terrible quality, wasted money.

Of course I'm sorry, this is my first purchase of Sigma products. The only thing I don’t understand is what large dust particles do inside the new lens, there is not one dust particle, I counted a total of 4 pieces, they are of different sizes and on different lenses, they go deep into the lens. I did not tempt fate and returned the lens back, I did not put it on the camera. I examined the dust particles under a magnifying glass, they are very similar to ordinary silver sequins. If I'm wrong…

Pros
  • Failed to identify them, return lens
Cons
  • An unpleasant aftertaste from the very first purchase of Sigma products

A very high-quality product, I take it not for the first time.

I have been using the lens for six months with the A6000. It is on the carcass 70% of the time. I change for shooting portraits to another fix and for travel, I use zoom there. In my carcass there is no stub on the matrix, where you have to shoot the video as carefully as possible, or buy a gimbal, but this is not a kit for every day. For a photo - smart glass. You should not be afraid of a wide angle - in the film era there was a wide angle on soap dishes, now smartphones have a wide angle…

Pros
  • - aperture - sharpness - smooth running of the ring - comfortable grip
Cons
  • - tracking focus noise in video -no stabilizer

Satisfied with the product, I recommend it to everyone.

09180 with the illumination described in the shortcomings in the corners, but do not look at its range - I did not switch the BB to daylight; left a wall map shot with a flash and a bookshelf with a shadow from the lens; I didn't erase the shots with the flash drive on the magazine cover to compare the glasses of Sigma AF 16mm f/1.4 DC DN and Sony SEL35, 35mm. , F/1.8 One frame with the icon is taken from the stop - here you can’ It's great to shoot landscapes! If you shoot parallel to the grou

Pros
  • I compared it with my Sony SEL35, 35mm. , F / 1.8 and 10 close to backlight, Sonya didn’ the Sigma, due to the shorter focal length, the center is sharp on almost all apertures, but on open ones, I bought a Sony A6500 in one attempt; from 1/15 it is real, and from 1/20 it is reliable.
Cons
  • In the characteristics I read about dust and moisture protection, but in the guarantee they write that dampness, dust, to 11, the difference in depth of field is not visible, but I liked the frame less at its limiting F16: I shot at iso 100, and it seemed that at larger values I doubt that with his FR, 35mm. , F/1.8 in appearance and size, but I don' either without a stub I got a clear frame at 1/25s, then blurry at 1/50 although in the camera, on the recommendation of the glass manufacturer, I set it to "Auto" given the minus using a flash, camera with the A6500 like the fact that 2 I snapped 4000 frames - it didn’ a guarantee of 2 years, in a coupon 1

Practical product, nothing to complain about.

In general, for my money - amazing glass, but I will contact the store about holes in the diaphragms, I do not exclude that the trouble is in my model) Pros: It is assembled as well as possible, gravity plays only a plus, micro-shakes, aperture, sharpness across the entire field of the frame are gone. Cons: Aperture from 2 to 2.8, which is very sad. The camera immediately stops catching the face and eyes normally, which is a huge problem for Sony (as for the camera that I originally took for…

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

In general, for a videographer on a crop, the best lens with a wide angle. Golden mean. Those most cherished 24, without which in any way. The next most popular is 18-105, which when recalculated is 27 wide. This very little is sometimes lacking in native optics. Pros: Everything is great! The best lens in my kit. Particularly pleasant is the manual focus, which does not “skip” focus due to a braked motor, like native 18-105, etc. The lens is compact, albeit heavy. Has cons: Only nitpick. It…

Full compliance with the manufacturer's assurances, high quality.

I have been waiting for such a lens for two years. © To be honest, since 2022. Pros below: 1) This is the first high-quality fast aperture in the E system, at an adequate price. The rest of the lenses are soap soap, or for deputies, kidney donors, children of oligarchs, thieving officials, movie stars and pop stars. And for us, ordinary 2022 hard workers, with a middle-class salary, sigma made this gift. 2) Very sharp at all apertures. Not enough light for the landscape? Set it to f/1.4 and…

Win Sony Camera Base + Sigma Lens

Sigma lenses are amazing. I have a Sigma 30mm f1.4 and a Sigma 16mm f/1.4 lens and use them alternately on my Sony a5100 (surprisingly small, powerful camera set). The weight and build quality of Sigma lenses are impressive, but their optics are even more impressive. Autofocus focusing is a bit slower than Sony's OEM lenses, but they still focus fast enough for continuous video. used in low light conditions. I personally use this lens to hunt my son (who is still a toddler). A large maximum…

Perfect streamer lens

I use this lens on a Sony a6400 for live streaming on Twitch, Youtube and Facebook. This lens is absolutely perfect for this application as the 16mm focal length gives a very good field of view and the f1.4 aperture makes for really good low light performance and nice blurred backgrounds. The autofocus seems fast enough that I haven't had any problems with it yet. This lens weighs 405 grams, so take that into account if you need to mount it somewhere. The lack of image stabilization is a good…

Finally. - lenses

. Quality lens in this category. It's very well built, feels solid, with a rubberized ring that holds up great. It's big, but with the Sony a 6300 it feels good in your hand. The most important thing for me: It is very sharp, from the center to the corners. My specimen shows no chromatic aberration in the photos I've taken so far, but has yet to be tested against high-contrast dark/light subjects. Colors and contrast are very pleasant, neither too pale nor too saturated. Similar to Rokinon with

Amazing value for a camera lens

This is a fantastic prime lens and is widely recognized as the best value everyday lens for Sony's A6000 series cameras. I first bought the 30mm version of this lens but received a poor copy. so it took me many years to succumb to the overwhelming reviews and buy this for my a6300. That's great. I shot A LOT of 16mm interior shots with the kit lens, so it made a lot of sense to get a fast 16mm prime lens (24mm equivalent). Just set your minimum shutter speed to 100 seconds and don't worry about

Overpriced for no reason

After seeing so many 5 star reviews and good photos I thought this would be a good buy for my Sony E-mount camera. The truth is , not worth it $423 after tax. 200 maybe. But certainly not twice as much. The picture won't be as good until you edit it. See photos before and after. I'm a professional photographer and the base image is pretty bad. At f1.4 there is LOTS of GRIT with a very muddy look. It also has terrible bokeh for a basic lens. It's more like an f2.8 lens, you see a lot of detail…

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Only available in white

It's the best purchase I ever made, I will definitely do it again.

Large size (compared to the whale 16-50mm and Sigma 30mm f/1.4), but in some situations the weight and size add a few points to the stabilization and grip of the camera! But since bought because of aperture 1.4 and wide angle, weight and size did not play a strong role. A good aperture helps a lot when shooting in a dark room (I tried it at a dance school party)! When shooting a photo, there are no questions, only positive emotions! When shooting a video, too, everything is wonderful! There…

Pros
  • Fast! Cutting! Wide angle (perfect for shooting indoors, I haven't tried landscapes yet). Excellent build quality! "Made in Japan" was written for a reason!
Cons
  • Visually, for a small Sony A6000 looks a bit too big. But with these small cameras, almost any lens will look like a disproportionate giant. Like the Sigma 30mm f/1.4, stabilization is still lacking.

The best thing I've ever used, a great item for everyone!

Unique super-fast AF wide. A must-have device for the UPC of crops. Record speed for this focal length on APS-C cameras. There are no direct AF analogues in nature, except for the manual Samyang 16 F2 and some kind of Olympus, 17 \ 1.2, it seems. Why Sigma did not make this for mirror crops is not clear. As for the incorrect operation of AF - the lens is fresh - the firmware is raw - there are no ates yet - it is sharpened for cameras starting with a6000 and newer. The owners of the a6300-6500

Pros
  • 1) Crazy sharp and technical picture. F1.4 working all over the field even at infinity. From F2 sharpness rings, from F2.8 it rings in the corners. Very good for astroscape On this lens, closing the hole more than 5.6 makes sense only to increase the depth of field, after 5.6 sharpness and resolution do not increase. 2) There is no chromaticity from F2 at all and it is very low at 1.4 3) Record light transmission of the optical design - I have not seen a lens with F1.4 lighter than this. It gathers more light even than, for example, Zenitar 50\1.2, a little bit lighter than Kamlan 50\F1.1, and more than THREE STOPS lighter than Samyang 35\1.4, which is just darker! I compared it on three different cameras at equal settings, in terms of exposure on screens at ISO 100. It is clear that the focal length is different and the comparison is not entirely fair, but Sigma at 1.4 at ISO 100 gives a correctly exposed image of the test scene, but Samyang 35 \ 1.4 for to obtain equal brightness of the same scene, on the same camera, it requires setting it to 1.4 ISO 800 at the same shutter speed ! 4) High-quality, pleasant, tightly knit assembly. Minimalistic high-end design. 5) Comfortable, wide, smoothest focus ring - ideal for video 6) Focuses very close from the front lens - almost point-blank - allows you to make a very interesting wide-angle macro - with background blur in the trash
Cons
  • 1) Rough, hard technical rendering - I really don't like the picture of this glass, there is no picture as such - it gives an interesting blur only at 1.4. Even Sony E 16-50 OSS (whale) produces a more plastic texture 2) Terribly - it fills up the geometry, verticals along the edges, and it is very difficult to straighten it out - even with Sony 16-50 blockages are easier to straighten. From such a terrible story, my eyes twitch 3) INSANE autofocus work! In particular, on the a5000 camera - when focusing on the horizon, it's just a wild back focus with a run somewhere beyond infinity on the magnifying glass scale. Sometimes there is a front focus anywhere but not in the center. The same problem is described on the forum - on a hole 1.6-1.7, 2.5 AF generally ceases to cling in all modes. In any does not want to focus exactly in the center. If it suddenly hooks on the horizon by 1.4, then everything will be abrupt, if you set 2-2.8-4 without changing the camera position, there will be a 100% micro run in the center, therefore the entire left or right edge will fall out of the depth of field with a terrible comatose soap. If you accurately hit with a magnifying glass manually in the center on the horizon on the horizon, then on all apertures there will be a razor-sharp frame from edge to edge! Moreover, a paradoxically delusional situation: on the old NEX 3N it focuses perfectly and constantly monitors in AF-S mode. On a5000 tracking focus only works on video, slow and inaccurate 4) Strong motor noise on the video (different nature of noise in AF-S and AF-C - most buyers of this glass are videographers. But for the pros this is not a problem - they use an external recorder 5) Price in the store 6) Mechanical vulnerability - the reliability of the motor and electronics is also questionable. Attention - I strongly advise against using this glass and in general all similar Sigmas for a long time at sub-zero temperatures! In the cold -5, the motor is already starting to freeze during manual focusing - it stops moving the lenses smoothly - how it can end at a lower temperature and subsequent warming up is better to think in advance
