The best thing I've ever used, I recommend it to everyone!

A moderate 2.24x zoom telephoto lens with aperture ratio of 1.4 is great! It is clear that you can shoot portraits with a blurred background, but most importantly, you can shoot street photos in any conditions without affecting the subject, without invading his personal space. With a minimum focusing distance of 50 cm and a focal length of 112 equimm, this lens can be used as a macro lens. It gives a comparable image scale in comparison with the native Olympus macro 30mm f / 3.5. Well, with…

Pros
  • + Value for money. + Aperture 1.4. + Focal length at micro 4/3 - 112mm in 35mm equivalent. + Image quality. Smooth smooth blurring of the image in the blur zone. + More than sufficient sharpness already from the widest aperture. + Quiet aperture and autofocus. + Almost perfect metering performance on the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mk II, unlike some Lumix lenses. + Workmanship, materials. + Compactness. + Official warranty 2 years.
Cons
  • - There is no case in the package, although one is applied to obviously cheaper Art lenses 19mm, 30mm and 60mm. That is, this is a conscious artificial marketing dilution of the Contemporary and Art lines. - On Olipus, automatic merging of series shot with focus bracketing does not work.

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

In my opinion, this is quite a worthy glass at a quite adequate, affordable price for many (unlike the Pro Olympus and Panasonic portrait series). It’s stupid to compare the capabilities of FF and M4 / 3 . you can screw up with any technique, just don’t forget that a picture / photograph is killed or spoiled / made a masterpiece, as anyone likes, much more often photographers, and not glass and carcasses to it.

Pros
  • I liked everything so far . I was looking for a lens as some kind of alternative to the Olympus 45mm 1.2Pro. It is generally difficult to compare them, as well as to compare 42.5 from Panasonic. It's more of a reasonable alternative. I shoot mostly in the studio, I haven't tried it outdoors yet. What I like: sharpness on the open window! She is fantastic. Along the edge of the frame, everything is also pretty good, if you press the hole a little, then, of course, there won’t be such ahs, and given the good price / performance (quality) ratio, you can close your eyes to a lot. It's just that for me this lens is primarily a portrait lens)
Cons
  • while there are no serious shortcomings, are distortions and vignetting a little embarrassing, but this is most likely just my subjective opinion.

42.5 Nocitron Killer

What can I say about this lens. Well, it's metal, weatherproof, and damn sharp. Even at f/1.4 it's sharp all around with little to no lateral vignetting. I could pay $1000 for this lens and be happy as a clam. All I can say is BUY THIS LENS. I photographed the rings at 1.4 on my GH5. The video is even clearer. The colors are very pleasant and the contrast is excellent. The autofocus was spot on, once I got used to belaying I got used to macro photography. Everything around this lens is a…

Great lens for camera and photography

I use this lens on my Panasonic Lumix G9 and so far I am very satisfied. The lens is very sharp, it works great with all of the G9's autofocus modes (including face/eye detection and animal detection), although it's perhaps a bit slower than some of my other Panasonic Leica lenses, and the build quality is excellent. I remember Sigma lenses from the old days, and this lens doesn't compare to their budget offerings of yesteryear. In fact, it's better than many camera manufacturers' lenses. I was

Simple MFT equals Olympus 75mm f/1.8? Right!

I bought this lens to get a mid-range prime lens that is actually f/1.4 without spending over $1000 like the Olympus Pro range (45mm f/1.2 for example). I currently have an Oly 45mm f/1.8 and an Oly 75mm f/1.8. Both are outstanding in their own right. While 75 offers some of the most outstanding IQ and bokeh in the MFT range, it's a rather odd length, in my opinion, that often calls for creative composition - not necessarily a bad one; but as such just a lens that doesn't come out of my bag…

  • Everything is fine!
