These pens are amazing. Just note that only fountain pen ink can be used with them. Conventional inks do not work or only poorly. So when buying ink, make sure you only buy fountain pen ink.

I ordered a set of these pens and there were only 4 in the box and most were broken. I sent them back and they sent me a replacement. This set also had a broken end on one of the handles but this does not affect use. The pens are good but they are glass so you might think they pack them better. Putting them in bubble wrap and in a thin box won't protect them from breakage. Buy them at your own risk.

I wanted to call it fragile but fun. They are made of glass and are therefore naturally fragile. I bought these to replace a more expensive glass pen (bought for its design). I didn't want my family to get excited about my pen and want to use it so I bought these to use with me. Then I broke a more expensive glass pen after using it twice (sigh). I switched to these and they write just like the more expensive ones. They're great if you want to try the dip pen.

If your definition of a pen is something that lets you draw a line, then I think they fit. The lines they make are inconsistent and much wider than what is typically used for writing. There are three different types of tips and I tried them all before writing a review. I understand they are inexpensive so I wasn't expecting an unusual experience just to try some of my inks. I've known about glass filled fountain pens for a while but never really got interested in them. I'm comparing several inks and I have to constantly write small passages of text with the same pen on the same paper, just changing the ink.
