If USB 3.0 speed is important to you - DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

1. If you need USB 3.0 speed/bandwidth, forget this card. You can google the VIA chipset yourself to see that VIA is the slowest USB 3.0. Oculus sensors work well with USB 2.0, but not with this so-called USB 3.0.2 chipset. I've been using this USB stick for a while. External power supply adds nothing to its performance. It still drops some ports and crashes from time to time. I don't know why it is connected to an external power supply at all.3. There is no official VIA support for this…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Blank

The driver supplied comes on a CD which is not always available these days. Fortunately, VIA makes the latest drivers for their chipsets available online. URLs are not allowed in reviews, but you can google "via-labs driver" to download the official drivers from VIA website (VIA_XHCI_Driver_V5.60B_AP.zip). But the card itself is great. This is a quick and inexpensive way to add multiple USB 3.0 ports. On the other hand I had to buy a Molex to SATA power adapter because my system was too new to…

Pros
  • Fantastic
Cons
  • Quality

My new computer has 6 USB ports which may seem like a lot but as everyone knows nowadays everything is connected to the desktop via USB so an external Blu-ray drive, headphones, Mouse, keyboard, camera and about 4 other things on it, of course I quickly ran out of ports. Bought, plugged in and Microsoft worked automatically (like Windows). Then I decided to try the driver they provided and OH BOY. The driver interfered with the use of the USB stick, in one moment it worked and in the other it…

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Engineering can return to the drawing board.

I bought this card to add non-hub ports to my Gigabyte Z390 Designare motherboard with Windows 10, mainly for connecting music hardware, and it didn't have it is working. At first I thought it might be a driver issue, but it's not. Bad PCI-E port? nope The card said it was a power outage condition so I sent the first one back and got a replacement. Connected the second and the same problems. I checked the Molex connector, it was putting out power so there were no problems. I finally got a card…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
