Basically works. Super cheap.

Looks good. However, I had some problems downloading it to my computer. This is an older desktop, so the screw spacing in this mount has most likely not been used before. So that's it. I ended up fixing it with just two screws. Everything should be fine as there are no moving parts.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not bad

Part length fits computer and accessories

I bought this to fit a 2 1/2" SSD instead of a 3 1/2" HDD. The computer is a monobloc HP Omni 27 All-In-One. The computer uses a full size cage/box to hold a 3 1/2 inch drive and inserts into a channel to connect to a SATA port. This adapter fits the connector snugly, but is not the full length of a 3 1/2" drive, meaning one end of the SSD must hang freely as this adapter does not have holes leading to a 3 1/2". -inch cage fit . / box designed for a full-size 3 1/2" drive. Instead, I had to use

My Samsung 860 EVO SSD fits perfectly

This bracket was easy to install and securely holds my new Samsung 860 EVO SSD in one of my computer's standard drive bays. It comes with 4 screws to attach the drive to the bracket and 4 more to attach the bracket to the drive bay. You don't have to search for the right screws. The bracket is made of lightweight metal and is well-made for a perfect fit. All holes are perfectly aligned, making installation much easier. My Revain order was completed quickly, the mount arrived safely 4 days after

Works of course, only 2 screw holes fit cage OEM

Upgrading an old hard drive in an old desktop. Only 2 holes on this SSD tray match the original HP HDD tray. Of course he only holds 2 perfectly. It would be nice if all 4 were in a row.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Some difficulties

I have a 10 year old HP with Windows 7 that is showing its age. I ran out of RAM and processor, leaving only the hard drive. For those of you with similar horsepower, this meant opening the lid, pressing the green tab, then sliding the drive back and then lifting. The wheels on the hard drive were moved to the adapter after the SSD was attached to the adapter. The whole thing took about 10 minutes. The computer is now more responsive. I wish I had done this many years ago.

Don't waste your money!

This 3Β½ to 2Β½ disc adapter is a failure for me. Yes, in some cases it works like a piece of double-sided tape. I have 3.5 inch drives installed in the bay. This adapter is not installed in the tray. It was possible to mutilate the tablet and get it working, but then why need an adapter. This manufacturer knows what matters, but decided to save two cents and not work for most people. You know all about moving a 2 Β½ drive so that it bumps into a fixed connector. They saved two cents and made the…

Doesn't fit SSD in iMac HD bay

I replaced the SSD with a 27" Imac (Late 2015 and 2017). The SSD fits well in the adapter but not long enough to put it on a Mac to mount. Also the mounting pins that hold the drive in the case have different threads. The threading issue can be solved with brute force and I had to use a zip tie to attach it to the case.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • No instructions
