I don't know why I've been making aluminum foil screens for so many years. When you have a few cakes done and ready to pop them in the oven, the final step of folding three (or 6 or 9) strips of foil together is a chore. These shields are simple, you just size them up and put them on. I use 9 "glass" "cake pans" and the larger size fits perfectly. I was actually surprised they weren't larger, but glad in my case because there wasn't much overlap.
