As described, great fit, fixed dashboard backlight issue

This switch fits great, the backlight is a little dimmer than factory and the front is black compared to mine, the original was anthracite, It's a great replacement if you don't want to pay the premium OEM price

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Not bad but...

2006 GMC Yukon XL, no tools required!

No more flickering dashboard lights, no tools required for assembly. 1. Break off the front of the dashboard cover (you need to set the parking brake and operate the shifter when the car is off but the ACC is on). 2. Move the junction box until it pops out. 3. Disconnect the green wire harness terminal. 4. Plug the wire harness into the new box and snap everything back into place! Works great, takes no more than 2-3 minutes!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Negative impression

Works perfectly in my 2006 Tahoe.

Plugged right into my 2006 Tahoe and works great! The exchange took less than 5 minutes. I love simple solutions. My dash lights, radio lights, etc. all randomly dimmed, then brightened, then dimmed on their own while driving, and I couldn't adjust this with the jog dial anymore. The button no longer toggled my cockpit/deck lights on and off. I've never seen it affect my real headlights. Everything works great again.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

Good switch but poor panel backlight quality.

The switch has a solid latch in any position. I like it. The problem I have is that the lighting on the panel is uneven at night. There may also be some lights. The lights that can be turned off are indicators that show the brightness of the instrument panel lights. The bumps are to the left of the headlights/navigation lights. The icon to toggle the glow stick on or off is weak compared to the others. The photos show it. This may not be a problem for most people, but for me it's because I…

2005 Chevrolet Silverado WT

Installed on a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado WT. The symbols on the front look exactly like they were already on the truck. The switch itself looks darker than the original - which is normal to me as I also recently replaced the switch next to it with a fog light switch - hence both switches are now very dark black. The grip feels stiff and chunky compared to the original piece. The button to turn off the dome lights looks ok, but seems more difficult to enable/disable properly. The dimmer wheel…

Ideal. just like OEM. SO easy to install.

This baby was the answer to my problems. When I bought the truck it had a dimmer switch that could be turned on and off. Sometimes you could see the lights on the dashboard, and sometimes they went out entirely. If you touch or flip this switch back and forth, it might work. but over time it became less and less. So I finally thought about finding a replacement part. When I found a video showing how easy it is to install them (it's EASY). I checked out Revain and they had the best price yet…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not the best

Dimmer issue fixed but could have been better

I bought this to fix an intermittent dashboard issue in my 2006 Silverado. That fixed the main problem. Two complaints though. The backlight is a different color (whiter) than the factory backlight, probably because the factory backlight is incandescent and LED. I still feel like they could have nailed the colors better. The second complaint is the feel of the headlight switch. The factory switch feels pretty smooth when rotated to different positions. This one gets harder and "clicks" into…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Minor repairability
