Like a little nuclear reactor in your little PC minus a little radiation

I received this PSU for my shoe box size Thermaltake Mini Case Mini ITX 200 VL52021N2U PSU to replace the supplied ThermalTake 220W PSU and they both appear to be the same size. However, the SilverStone is much more powerful and the build quality is impressive. With a Core i5 2500K Sandy Bridge processor and a Radeon HD 6850 450W it should be more than enough. SilverStone was kind enough to include four black thumbscrews and four black mounting screws in the kit as the ThermalTake screws were…

Small form factor! for internal power supplies

Used for my first PC build. I'm still waiting for another part to arrive before finalizing the build and running it for the first time to see if this PSU works. I will update the review if anything goes wrong. Choose this power supply to build an HTPC with a Silverstone ML03B case (also bought here at Revain). I chose this SFX power supply to free up space in my case. It has all the ports I need plus a few. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the ATX cable was too short for my build. The…

It was the perfect complement to my HTPC build

It was the perfect complement to my HTPC build. The PSU that came with my HTPC case was noisy and not powerful enough for my build. This PSU is 150W bigger and has plenty of SATA ports for all my devices. It fits my case snugly and looks better with the black than the original silver it came with. For those of you looking for an affordable power adapter for small form factor HTPC cases, this is a good choice. Very quiet so you don't have to unmute to drown out your PC's audio.

So far a great power supply.

Too soon; I just installed this last night. Still, it seems like a noble act: the device not only looked solidly built, but also had full hardware and a perfectly matched ATX SFX mount. Even zip ties were included, as well as a velcro strap for tidy wiring. The cables were long enough and there were more than enough connectors for my two SATA drives, my DVD drive and my floppy disk and fans. Obviously it works well, otherwise I wouldn't give it five stars. If something goes wrong, I fix it. So…

Worked great. Keyword "was "

This PSU worked fine for the first 6 months, however my computer started having problems a few days ago. The screen would go crazy with random lines and the computer would randomly shut down. I just assumed I overclocked my GPU, reset everything to default and everything seemed fine. For every 5 minutes. Then the computer gave a loud "pop" and shut down for the last time. Now it won't turn on. I've unplugged and plugged the power cord back in a few times, and sometimes the little light on my…
