Drives keep overheating

I expected more from SilverStone, this thing is hot shit. I have all 8 drive bays full and they consistently hit over 60°C. I even moved it so it was right in front of my AC, which helped but wasn't enough. If you intend to fill all bays with drives, avoid doing so at all costs. If you don't fill all the drive bays I don't see why you would even care about this thing as there are better options at a lower price. I'll look for a 3U or 4U chassis to replace this one and then probably throw this…

Check out the light weight and compact size

It's very light and smaller than I expected compared to my desktop mid tower, but it's strong enough. Three fans are silent. I wish the two 5.25" bays were more useful. Haven't installed 8 discs yet. I'll let you know if everything works (or not). PS: all 8 hard drives are connected, ZFS RaidZ2 works, no problems yet. Update: My ZFS Raidz2 with 8 disks has been running for a few days. No problem .

Bad assembly is good for computer components

I was very happy with this case. I want to start my first raid array for my Plex media server. When I opened the side panel, I noticed that the capacitors on the SAS/SATA board were at different angles and were badly soldered to the board. I expected more from the Silverstone body. I've been building PCs for about 20 years and have used their cases a few times.

Enjoy the light weight and compact size

Haven't put 8 discs in yet. I'll let you know if everything works (or not). PS: all 8 hard drives are connected, ZFS RaidZ2 works no problems so far. Update: My 8-disk ZFS Raidz2 has been running for a few days.

Great option for full size ATX servers, with caveats

I ordered one of these to build a home server. This machine will do a lot; NAS, routing, game servers, virtual machines. I will use R9 3950 in MSI Meg Ace with 4x8GB GSkill Trident RAM. With the BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4 I managed to fit my board very tightly into the case. It requires some maneuvers and turns to get all the information. The assembly is present in the case but fits without touching/pressing anything that shouldn't be there (the CPU cooler may be 2mm from the top edge of the…
