It works but not as well as it sounds (harkhar)

I had to double the amount compared to other materials I've used in the past so it wasn't a success. However, I needed something quick and Amazon had it the next day, so it worked in a pinch. The annoying whistle of the power supply coil for a non-swappable system, that helped, so I can only hear it next to it and not across the room.

    You need some of this!

It does exactly what it says it will do. It drowns out the sounds from inside. I lined the inside of my 3U computer case with it and it's practically PERFECTLY QUIET. I make music, so having a quiet computer case is very important. That's the real deal. I was absolutely amazed at how quiet my computer case became after installing this thing. Highly recommended!

Didn't know it was made for PC cases. Used for my keyboard. lol

I ended up using this for a foam mod in my keyboard to muffle typing noise. Works great and the adhesive base makes the foam very easy to work with. It also falls out a lot, so I even went crazy and put the foam behind the metal plate. I have so much more and I don't know what to do with it. Great value in everything.

    It actually works a bit

This doesn't completely stop computer noise, but it does reduce room noise by 1dB SL on my sound level meter, which may not sound like much, but it is. a lot if you're trying to keep that dB SL as low as possible! I'm recording VO, so I briefly cover the computer tower with a thick towel while recording. Do it at your own risk! But the combo worked for me. Don't forget to take off your towel!

It is not so bad. - Insulation

First, the foam rubber breaks quite easily. Any pressure applied will leave permanent damage/dents. But the foam is quite thick, I put it in my computer's removable back cover and it doesn't really matter much, but I think it helps with vibration, at least from the fans and whatnot. Adhesion is good, no complaints. Just get tired of the tears and pressure breaks. If you use it for your computer, don't expect too much, it makes minimal difference.

    Pure Silence NAS Enclosure

Loud NAS Enclosure (4 HDDs click constantly). I cut strips out of them and placed them in places in the case that didn't block airflow and I didn't even have to use that much. It's very quiet now and I'm very happy. I had previous experience with sound deadening foam so this worked exactly how I wanted it to. Pro Tip: Use a new/sharp blade when cutting any type of foam for clean edges or it will roll and smudge. Use this tip for sound absorbing foam, Styrofoam, Styrofoam, etc.

This helped with PC case vibrations

I used this on a NZXT Phantom 410 PC case. I have previously swapped out the fans for quieter ones but it didn't help with the vibrations that bothered me. What worked was to cut them into half inch strips and glue them where the front and top plastic panels snap together. Voila - no vibration. The plastic parts on the housing were to blame. Since this product contains two large sheets, I also made a side piece (one without the glass) and I have almost a whole sheet left. The fact is that if…

Used to dampen the keyboard, works great!

So another commenter pointed out that these leaves are really big and I believe them. However, as they are designed to absorb sound inside a PC case, I should have expected this. Anyway, this is what I used to mute the audio between the keyboard board and the case. Works well and doesn't hear the dull ping you usually hear from a metal case. To be honest you could technically use it as a sound deadening material in a sound booth or room as these panels are large and somewhat dense. I have…
