Nice color but maybe bluish

Looks lavender or pale blue in packaging. If I turn it upside down and hold it up to the light, it looks whiter. I just looked at the fabric in the product description and now I notice that it is off-white. The fabric is very durable. You can embroider without an embroidery frame. This time I will be using it for miniature wicker chairs, so the rigidity is particularly good for my purpose. If they look blue I can paint them white. One day I will use it for embroidery.

NOT COTTON!: Cross Stitch

Should have read the one star reviews before buying this junk. It's definitely not cotton. I bought it to paint. After binding and washing in hot water to remove starch/glue, it was very smooth and shiny, like polyester or nylon. I dyed it with a batch of quilt cotton, following the exact procedure both times. REAL cotton absorbs dyes that react well with fibers, but these types of dyes only work with natural fibers. The pieces came out very pale from the dyeing and turned white again after…

NOT 100% Cotton, the best of Aida

This Aida comes in pretty packaging, but that's where the fun ends. It is not entirely white, it has a very bluish tint to it. I bought this to be dyed and my only requirement is that it has to be 100% cotton (even mostly cotton will work), the listing clearly states 100% natural cotton. I doubt there is any cotton in this Aida fabric, it feels and shines like plastic, I've dyed it with fiber reactive dyes and washed everything out which means it's polyester. I also did a burn test just in case

GREAT OFFER!

I was just shocked at the price and quality. You won't find six 12x18 Aida screens for 99 cents anywhere. I really don't understand the bad reviews here. If you have worked a lot with Aida fabric, you should be aware that the fabric can be a bit stiff at first. Unless you use more expensive fabrics or more expensive brands. Aida fabric is usually not a bit stiff and is then tied up after processing. I prefer a slightly stiffer fabric because it sticks better to my scroll bars. Also, I do most…

Perfect for my project

Aida napkin #14 arrived yesterday and today I started it. I have previously tried Aida #16 which I already had but found the holes too difficult to find. This No. 14 fabric has a slightly coarser mesh and is easier to work with, even with black yarn. I've read several complaints about the stiffness of the fabric. I don't hoop my work and plan on framing it later so the stiffness helps to handle and frame the fabric. Another complaint I read was about raw edges that wore out over time. This is…

Looks great. Easy to use awkward

First of all, I really never write product reviews; not to mention the bad reviews. I want to share my experience for those who have many years of sewing experience so they are not blind. When I first discovered this product I was so excited. It was exactly what I was looking for and the price was perfect. When it arrived I was amazed at how it looked. The color and the thick material looked great. As soon as I started my project, the problems started. I have been sewing cross stitches for…
