🔧 Simmons 1350 Rubber Torque Arrestor, 1 to 1-1/4 inch Review

It's a little larger than I expected. (I don't know why I thought it was smaller. LOL) but it was great quality. Came with high quality clamps. It was easy to install and I hope it will last for many years.

This is a very high quality torque dampener, strong and made of good, thick (yet flexible) rubber that has stood the test of time in my well for years. The item arrived quickly and Sunbelt's customer service was excellent! (I had no problems, but the support rep took the time to contact me personally and ask if everything was ok.)

The product is easy to install. Be sure to secure it. We bought a cheap pump to live on for a few months and when it broke down after 3 months we went to shoot it, it went up a few inches then the torque limiter broke and now acts like a reverse Chinese one finger trap and all. got stuck, we had a cable on the pump when we dropped it and tried unsuccessfully to get it out with an excavator. Product seemed good - well made and easy to install. However, there were no directions and I couldn't find much online. I'm sure an experienced well pump installer will have no problem with this, but as a DIY project, a bit of guidance would be nice. How far away from the pump should it be installed? Do I clamp electrical cables inside the pipe clamps or outside? How far can I stretch the flame arrestor (enough to protect the pump but not enough to get stuck if I have to pull it out years…
