Don't waste money.

Do not buy this item, it is overpriced. The quality was like the rags I use to wash and dry the car, the size is too small, they are suitable for newborns and possibly newborns depending on how small your child is. They're not warm enough for cold weather and useless in summer, they're junk and you're basically paying $18 because they're Carter brand. Don't get me wrong, Carter's is a great brand, but sometimes some of their products are hit or miss.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Awkward size - child

I struggled to put them to good use. For me personally they are too big/bulky to use as burp cloths and really too small to use as blankets. I use them as an extra cover for my boppy to help with accidents and it saves me the hassle of washing my boppy and cover frequently. I also carry one in my diaper bag for use on changing tables. When the baby was small we could change it, but it didn't last long because it wasn't big enough. I like the material, but the size is just uncomfortable.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Almost never

I would probably use them to wash my car maybe

I rarely write reviews, and certainly not a bad one, but these blankets deserve one. I bought them for my expected grandson. I have washed them and they are nothing like the quality blankets we had when our kids were babies. I showed them to my sister in law and she said "Wow!" I'm looking for higher quality, thicker and hopefully double layered comforters. My son is a doctor and we know that children should not be put to bed with blankets, pillows etc. But they don't sleep all the time. Do…

Very thin and only of limited use.

From my wife: These beautiful blankets are single ply with folded edges and it would be nice if the quality of the flannel was higher. They are very thin and have limited use. As seen in previous reviews, unless used as a temporary layer of protection between the baby and the surface, in my opinion, switching to spit cloth (although only two layers!) is the best option for these blankets. I will make my own and sadly never think of giving them away. I expected a lot more from Carters having…

Rolled up after 1st wash. Not impressed

I am currently waiting and bought them for our new baby. Like all my new baby clothes, I always wash them first. Out of the bag, these are your standard quilts that you receive - after the first wash they will curl up (see photo) and not fold evenly. However, they are very soft, but if they look like that after a wash, I can't imagine them holding up the big scratchy tags on children's clothes - especially sleeping clothes. Brand.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Recommended: good value for money, functional and durable

These are fairly standard/simple receiving blankets. About the same size as the ubiquitous pinks and blues you get from the hospital (maybe a tad larger though I didn't measure) but with much prettier patterns. They're regular flannel, so they may shrink a bit if you throw them in the dryer. I use them as burp cloths because a real burp cloth doesn't work for my "lucky bunny" who seems to be losing ounces of milk after every feeding! Random comment: I usually avoid using fabric softener/sheets…

  • Comfortable

  • Slightly torn

Cute and useful, best in linens

I have about a million burp cloths (or receiving blankets, sheets, drool rags, whatever you want to call them) that vary slightly in quality, size, thickness, etc. I have seen several reviews complaining that they are cheap and end up being used like rags. I don't know what these reviewers were expecting. These are not "blankets" in the traditional sense, they are similar to hospital receiving blankets used for swaddling and saliva cleaning. We don't use them for swaddling because we're not…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Somewhat easy care
