White underwear needs an extra separate sewing pattern

Haven't done this yet but wanted people to know when purchasing you also need underwear sewing pattern #8162 (white ruffle on the neckline and sleeves are a separate piece not included in this pattern). It says so in the instructions inside, but I didn't see it anywhere on the outer box.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer sewing pattern

Suitable for clothing from the 1780s.

I liked this pattern. I am an experienced seamstress. Made a very nice 18th century Halloween "costume" for my sister (she didn't like wearing a bodice, but the bodice is perfect to wear over a white tuxedo blouse. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was that the instructions weren't very clear in my opinion and this can be a difficult task for a less experienced seamstress (maybe I just didn't understand them that well, it's happened to me before) .

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

I wanted to love it

The size is not large, I checked my measurements on the back and they don't match. The bodice has become too small, and in the cut with the corset it is too big! I can't even make an offer because the sizes just aren't there. I would highly recommend a trial bodice (they always tell me to but I've never had a problem taking measurements). The hood was a great and easy addition. I've never crocheted before and I make it in about 4 hours and it looks amazing. In general. Not my favorite pattern…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
