Excellent product for multimeters and analyzers

As always, Simpson has easily made another excellent instrument. I started using the same model when I was in the military and this model was over 30 years old and still worked great. If you buy this device, it will be the last thing you will ever need.

Pros
  • Reverse recessed safety sockets prevent operator and tool contact with electrical connectors
Cons
  • No instructions

Simpson 260 Best in Tools and Equipment

Love my Simpson 260. Tired of unstable digital counters. As a result, I went back to the analog Simpson 260 and it's fantastic. I like this counter very much. My old device from the 70s is finally beyond repair and was replaced by a digital counter. After 4 different digital gauges over the years, I'm finally back to the old workhorse. What a great gauge

Pros
  • Large tricolor dial with mirror scale to eliminate parallax errors
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Because the meter was partially defective it gets fewer sprockets

The voltmeter is accurate and runs smoothly however the ohmmeter did not work on the first test and was therefore returned by this. Other than that, it's a great tool for analog work. The seller refunded the purchase price immediately after receiving the defective goods. I would buy from the seller again.

Pros
  • UL 260-8...VOM, GENERAL PURPOSE
Cons
  • Not the best

Simpson would fix it but then it would take weeks and shipping for my pennies. Revain provided a replacement gauge that was shipped across state to Greenville, NC due to a delay. After waiting another 4 days after notification of the delay, it was considered lost. I went ahead and sent my original back for a refund and I will be purchasing it from another source. The…
