Economical stainless steel screws. They arrived quicker than I expected so I was very happy not to delay my project while waiting for fixtures. The corrosion rating on them is good for the type of wood I used. The company couldn't supply the quantity I needed (three boxes of 1,000 each), so they replaced the screw with a higher value. Out of the 1,000 screws in the box exactly 2 sheared off during assembly and that's probably because I let go of my 13 year old son with a cordless drill and he accidentally held it has to fiddle with the torque. installation, or because those two screws got caught in a branch in the wood. I pre-drilled 1.5" deep with a 1/8" drill bit, but these suction cups went in almost effortlessly, and since they're stainless steel, they should last longer than the deck.
