Good for attaching to studs

Worked great. Used these to attach a 2x10 header to 2x4 studs. Although widely used, there are data sheets and load data for the use of this fastener in attaching boards to studs through drywall. Fasteners are relatively easy to install with minimal pre-drilling. The torx bit that was included was very strong and still in good condition although all fasteners were used.

Great price for a great product

Much easier than drilling/hammering joists. I replaced them with the recommended 5/8 screws + nails on my ledger. Always less penetration than the alternative. Simpson even published an alternative NC Building Code Appendix M to bring the spacing requirements for these screws in line with those for bolts/nails. The inspector asked me to use 3 or 4 screws just in case, but it's better than drilling out 14 of them. hardware

Buy it. Not FastenMaster

It's worth it. Work great in every way. Revelation after decades of screwing. Most importantly, you're not just buying construction screws like these, you're buying those very screws. Okay change the length as needed. But don't buy the ones from Lowe and elsewhere. I especially hate FastenMaster as they use a dumber driver. T40 is a great propulsion method, works great. I've never had a slip etc. I drill a gap hole in the front plate of two to secure it to ensure the screw pulls it together and
