Nice block filter! on plumbing

It's great. I accidentally bought gac filters and they didn't work as well as the blocking filter that came with my ispring. Ordered these to save a few bucks and was not disappointed. It's been 5 months and my spring water is still clean and fresh with no odor. The tanks were leaking and there was definitely some nasty sediment getting into the lines, but the filter did its job perfectly. Will buy more!

I can turn coconut into charcoal!

This is the filter I use after digging my well for the winter. This filter is expensive, but it does a very good job of removing chlorine and other contaminants. PS I also use a UV light system which kills any bacteria that may be in the water. Again, the way I set everything up works very well. Two years in a row I have professionally tested the water and there have been no problems with the faucet. I highly recommend this filter.

Will keep buying them

These filters are great. I have well water and my main installation branches out into parallel filter lines. I only run one at a time so the filters are easy to compare. Between them and the filters I bought from Home Depot, these taste better. They also do an excellent job catching sand and silt that falls into my well. I can say that with certainty because I use an additional activated carbon filter in series after the main filter. Activated carbon filters contain (to the naked eye)…

So far, so good! I recommend.

At the moment they have lasted 2 months in the water with no sulfur smell. This is a new review. The fliter lasted 3 months, which is what I expected. The smell in my hot water tank returned when 3 months had passed. I am satisfied that I have been using this filter for 3 months, the paper filter only lasted a month. After replacing the filter, the smell is gone. Ok, new review. This time I drained the water heater, replaced the filter after 5 months and I have a ton of iron in my well. This is

A filter that can do everything!

I only ordered this filter because I needed to replace the filter in my single filter home system. This filter alone makes my city water, which tastes like a pool, almost drinkable! In the past I had to use three or even four different filters before the water tasted good; Now all I need is that and one more thing to make this water taste pretty good. Also, it does a really good job of preventing all the alcohols, calcium, sand and other particles from getting into the various systems around…

The odor from the well water was immediately removed

Our well smells unpleasant. After switching to this filter and flushing out the rest of the old water in the lines, the smell is completely gone except for 1 tap and we think it will probably go away with more flushing of the hot water tank. We've found them to be good for 6 months, while similar filters only take 3 months. Each filter was individually shrink-wrapped and packed in a box, then several boxes were sealed in a thick bag. We believe this helps keep the charcoal "activated". The…

Quality and Functionality

Decided after much research and trial and error. GE FXHTC used to be used but their quality has gone down as GE stopped making them and just sold the rights to the name. SimPure elements are significantly heavier, indicating more carbon and better filtration. They are well packaged and sealed (I assume the charcoal doesn't absorb odors and deposits before use, good idea. The smell of the water is perfect and the sediment doesn't go away. Sometimes there is a small amount of rust in the toilets,
