I kept it in my nose for about 6 days until my piercing started itching and reacting to the metal mixed with the gold of this item. I suspect it's due to the small amount of real gold or whatever they cut it. I may try another one, but it should be 24k gold with no other metal plating or plating!

Very pretty and not fake gold. Make sure your nose piercing is 16G, if it's smaller be prepared for pain when inserting. Once the piercing is done, it stays inside and also helps in healing. I bought this because I am very allergic to metals and even plastic piercing studs would not help my nose piercing to heal until I finally used it. It's beautiful and very real. FYI It doesn't come out easy.

great! I like the big ball at the end. This allows the bolt to stay in place very well. This setup is actually FLAT! I have photos to compare two different bezel bolts. One is 6mm, the other 10mm. It's also the ideal length for thicker cartilage or piercings further up the nose where the cartilage is thicker. It was hard to get in just because my piercing is a fresh 18 gauge. I'm sensitive to a lot of metals so I was happy to find something gold and elegant. It was difficult to push through at first as the end of the ball is a bit large, but after that I had no more problems. I used to have a jagged rock and it would stick to clothes and towels and sometimes my pillow at night and was very annoying. This bobby pin is smooth and flat and I had no trouble catching it. This thing is super tiny when I tell you super tiny are you afraid it might go through your nose it's not like that what it looks like in the picture so please be where it's only $20. So if you want to throw it away it's fine but I thought I should let people know once I get it and look at it it's definitely not the same as the picture so beware of one good thing i can say i believe it is real gold . But that's literally the size of the hole in your nose so it definitely fits through, after all

*UPDATE* Ordered again as the seller said they resized and this is it by far the prettiest and best fitting bobby pin I've had. Use lots of lube (I have a 20G piercing) but it sits flat and perfectly and I agree with previous reviews that it's perfect for high fit piercings.
