I don't know if these are genuine Singer needles. I have been sewing occasionally for over 50 years. These are the softest steel needles I've ever come across. The first was bent on the first stitch. I sew fleece with layers of different absorbent or shock-absorbing materials in between. Sometimes the layers get a little thicker, so I wanted to get stronger needles. It's strange that there are more needles in the cases than there really are. I'm still trying to figure out why they don't add more needles to them and just take a little bit more.
