The sound quality is a bit static, but I didn't do it, but it's not bad. I bought the phone for the style rather than everyday use. I wish it had a way to turn off the bell, but I knew how to open it up and add a switch to match the bell.

I have no caller ID and the red light indicator was the main selling point. It does not work well. You must fix it or at least characterize it as "just decoration" and not mislead us buyers and avoid the same disappointment for future buyers.

I ordered this phone for my 99 year old mother in a nursing home. When we installed it, neither the bell nor the turn signal worked on it. Outgoing calls can be made, but incoming calls cannot be heard or seen. Very disappointing.
