Lightweight and stable

I [urchased the AM-225 over the holidays and have been satisfied for now. I had previously owned the Sirui T-005x which is Sirui's cheaper entry level aluminum tripod. Despite serving its purpose, the stability on that tripod left me looking towards a different option. My setup consists of two Fujifilm cameras (X-T2 & X-H1) with an assortment of their lenses (10-24, 18-55, 50-140, 23 1.4), so I only reach 4.12lbs at the heaviest combination: X-H1 + 50-140mm + B-00k ballhead. With a max load of…

Pros
  • 20.55 x 3.74 x 3.74 inches
Cons
  • The design of this tripod is not user-friendly as it is difficult to adjust the height and angle

Pretty good in my review

I like it because it's relatively easy and intuitive to use but I wish there was a level on it so I know when I have my camera on it straight. As it stands getting the camera straight with the ball and socket requires some effort. Oh, also, the handle that tightens that ball and socket needs to be tightened well in order for the framing to stay where you put it. If you don't tighten it well enough you lose your shot to a droop. This becomes annoying.

Pros
  • Can support up to 26.5lbs of weight, perfect for heavy camera rigs
Cons
  • The tripod's legs are not sturdy enough to accommodate heavy cameras

I've been searching high and low for a travel tripod for my Sony A6100 that had all the features I wanted without being wildly expensive, and this one (254) hit all the marks:-Lightweight carbon fiber-Sturdy-Camera securely locks into place-Smooth panning ability for panorama shots-Bubble level is visible when camera is mounted on tripod-Came with hook and interchangeable spike feet-Fits in my backpack side pocket-Ability to get low to the ground (love not having to remove and flip a center…

Pros
  • The center column can be inverted for low-angle shots
Cons
  • The tripod's price point is too high for amateur photographers on a budget

I love this tripod.

I am no tripod expert, but I’ve owned a few and used them in the field. Yup, I love it. It’s sturdy, light, and feels heavy duty. I only used it for 3 days so far. I hope it lasts for years, it certainly feels like it will.

Pros
  • Lightweight design provides minimal fatigue during extended shoots
Cons
  • The tripod lacks a quick-release mechanism, which increases setup time

Impressed. for my opinion

I added this to my large collection of gear after a recent shoot around the streets of singapore; where I found myself wanting more than my Joby flex tripod, but not a full travel tripod. This is perfect. It's built beautifully, looks fantastic and performs superbly. As others have mentioned, it does not come with a hook, but frankly there's not much room, so I am not sure what you might like to hang. I think the descrition of a hook is meant for the larger tripods. It's not something I would…

Pros
  • Provides maximum stability for a sharp focus while shooting
Cons
  • The length of the center column is not sufficient for low-angle shots, requiring additional accessories

Too flimsy best in my review

The legs on this tripod are way too thin, the lock mechanism on the legs feels cheap.I would definitely not recommend this tripod for those who want to mount a professional camera, everything about it feels unsafe. I would only recommend this tripod for those who want to mount click and shoot cameras or something you don’t mind breaking if the legs fail for whatever reason.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • The price of this tripod is too high compared to its features

Nice and lightweight!

Works like it should! Lightweight, price is good. Superglad I got it! Not quite the height but better than nothing for the hikes that I do!

Pros
  • Easy to set up and disassemble, perfect for on-the-go photographers
Cons
  • The tripod lacks sufficient accessories like a quick-release plate or a carry strap
