Will not fit all skates

These will only work if you have space under the arch or in the middle of the skate to install them. Toddler skates don't have this hole so it won't work.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Some bugs

Sturdy and easy to use

Skateez skate holders are awesome. My 2 year old grandson uses them. He knows how to walk on the ice and can skate without falling. I highly recommend them. They are durable and very easy to put on skates.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Compatibility

Doesn't work on figure skates

Only works on flat skates (hockey skates). I bought these for figure skating but due to the angle of the outsole the skate guard tilts too far forward and the wedge doesn't help to solve the problem. Disappointed with this purchase.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Faulty

Save money and skip this

Broke in half on first use. I followed the assembly instructions and my son enjoyed them for about 5 minutes until he fell the first time and one of them just broke in half. I would return it but it was a gift so I didn't use it right away and it has expired.

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Great tool for beginner skaters

Great tool for beginner skaters. My almost 2 year old son couldn't stand a public skating session without help. Already at the next public skate session that we attended with Skateez, he was able to skate alone on the ice. He was happy that he could now skate with his older sister. Oh, and I don't break my back anymore holding it all the time. Great buy for anyone learning to skate!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • old

Good product, works as intended

Great product! A bit pricey but my son was much more stable with them. The rubber bumper that attaches them to the skate requires some work. The tape on it didn't hold it in place. I ended up using my own mounting tape to stick it on. I gave it 4 stars because my son fell on the first use and the skate broke. The company sent me a replacement no questions asked so they fixed it but I was hoping for a more durable product given the price.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Czech Y8? Untenable!

UPDATE: They broke after just 3 uses. I am changing my rating to 1 star. They are great and do their job as intended. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because they really don't fit my son's Y8 skates. The "outriggers" are almost taller than the blades of the skates themselves, and the Velcro cannot be tightened enough for skates that small. The specs clearly say they should work and many people's reviews say they are good for 2 years. I would warn that if you're buying for the sz Y8-9, be…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Great buy for a little (or big) learning to skate!

I bought these after searching the internet for skate tools that would help my 4 year old learn to skate more confidently. On the rinks around me there are no seals, milk crates or other tools to help little skaters. So I thought they look pretty cool and easy to wear. I think they are great. It doesn't necessarily give him the absolute freedom to skate on his own like milk crates etc, but it does give him more confidence to be able to skate without assistance as it gives him some balance.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Safety
