Skechers Altitude: The Ultimate Men's Trail Running and Hiking Sneaker Review

The previous pair of these shoes that I ordered in March 2022 (size 7.5, width 4E, different color) measured 4-3/8 inches at the widest point in the toe box and fitted snugly around my feet. Introduce. my displeasure when I ordered them and found that they had become narrower! This new pair is 4-1/4" wide and too narrow for me.

My legs are not massive. I also wear a 11.5 and while the length is correct, the shoe is short from the sole to the top of the instep. It means the damn things are hard to deal with. it should be moccasins, but it's so hard to squeeze my feet in them that I'd actually rather lace up normal shoes. Also, I bought them to wear without socks but they totally distort where my achilles tendon attaches to my leg. . Look at the photo of the left heel after walking in it for about a mile.

Husband thought 2x wide was absolutely perfect for a size 13 shoe, thought it might be too wide. Comfortable from the moment he tried them on. Great price, seems to be very well made.

I usually go for a Skechers size 9, medium width. They are about 1/2 a half size smaller. I had to order a medium size 9.5 for the perfect fit. You are beautiful!

I just wanted a new pair of shoes for everyday use. A friend suggested Skechers. I'm thrilled with the fit and comfort. I'll take another pair.

Buying another pair as I write this. I've had the first pair for about a year and wear them almost every day, they fit my feet so well, are lightweight and can fray a bit. I have flat feet and they have great arch support.

The missing eyelets on the shoes arrived and appeared to have been returned and resold, unfortunately I never put them on and had to get my money back.

Nice looks, good fit but if you walk on slightly wet tile or concrete expect to slip and possibly fall. I've only been buying Skechers for 15 years and the main complaint has always been bad glue and they fall apart but there has always been a better glue to fix them.

Straight out of the box these are comfortable shoes. Should break after a few wears and more. Now just testing how well the insole and outsole wear out here on the gravel and rock trails here in Arizona. The time will show. Stay tuned.

I have brown in men. Some colors are presented in a different style. The bays have a slightly higher ankle wrap than the others. I usually wear men 8D so I ordered it. The length is just right, but the width seems a bit narrow to me. In addition, the shoe is more like a boot, but at the same time it is light and comfortable. i keep them They are very comfortable and hope for a good mileage. They were packed in the original box with all Skecher items.

I saw these shoes in the store but it's cheaper here. They are comfortable but there was a feeling that the socks got wet in the snow but they weren't. It feels like I'm walking on a cloud.

As many reviewers point out, a really comfortable shoe. Unfortunately, the black soles wore out too quickly. I only used them for 5 months before they started to wear out.

Having bought a lot of Skechers this year, a softer upper is as important as finding good flexible "Goodyear" rubber soles, which they didn't have! After a good two hours of running, my legs actually felt pretty good. The tires bother me a bit.

Nice looking shoe but not for long wear. I prefer some arch support in my shoes, but the insoles in these Skechers offer no arch support, although they are not uncomfortable. This seems like an easy fix for the folks at Skechers. My question is how did it pass quality control?

These shoes really surprised me at how comfortable and fit they are. I can be on my feet all day and they don't hurt like other shoes I've had in the past. The only real issue I've encountered is that after just a few weeks the sole is peeling off the wrap and around the toe box on the left shoe.

These shoes are strange, when you stand in them, it seems like you are falling backwards, like the heels have dropped... very strange, such shoes have never existed! Also, whatever you do, don't get wet or stand on slippery surfaces, it's almost like walking on ice! I love looking at them, that's it!

The fit is accurate, the shoes are very beautiful and comfortable. The upper is a bit thin over the toe so I'm concerned it will tear over time, but it lets a lot of air through so I don't mind. The laces are of good quality, the colors correspond to the photos.

I bought them 3 months ago and have only worn them a couple of times. I love these shoes so much I bought another pair a month ago but the material is very poor quality. great fit and very comfortable; very disappointed.

These shoes are the most breathable sketchers my husband has ever owned. I buy him Sketcher because he works on his feet and needs supportive, breathable and stable shoes. These are the worst! They stunk after only wearing them once (in the winter! Without undue exertion). Very bad. Never recommend this style!

I love these sneakers! I've bought several pairs in different colors for work and play. The internal memory foam padding distributes pressure and virtually eliminates my pain from plantar fasciitis without the need for additional orthotics. -YMMV
