14,000 steps a day for 6 months

Taking out the trash at night for money. These are my only shoes and I wear them all day. This is my third time buying these shoes. In short, they work. I can walk 14,000 steps a day, climb 100 flights of stairs, 5 days a week, and that's enough for 6 months or more. If I wasn't overweight they might even last 9 months or more. If I take better care of them and lose weight, they might even last a year. So far, they're definitely worth what I'm paying for them from Revain. I just wish they were…

Ninja beware the men

Nice shoes and large sizes fit very well. When first put on, the leather(?) tongue rubs against the sides and makes a noticeable creaking, which is very annoying. About two weeks after your ninja license is revoked, it will eventually break and you can go silent. The cushioning is quite soft and very good as a casual shoe (although I don't find the cushioning good for running). It's all leather, which is nice since most athletic shoes are a combination of leather and thin fabric. Wide size as…

Great for diabetic amputees (at least for me)

I am an amputee and besides a good fit for my remaining foot I need a shoe that doesn't significantly change my size or foot position. This shoe meets my needs. After receiving them, I put on the orthotics, put on my shoes, and began walking with minimal discomfort. I had to remove the insole on the prosthesis side, the only adjustment I made, and it was comfortable straight away. Went to my orthotist's appointment who monitored my walking and made a small adjustment. Even better! Fits great…

Failed road running

I bought this shoe after the Skechers Vigor 2.0 Serpentine Memory Foam I bought did not fit me. I walk about 4 miles a day and have been wearing them since March 1st. Judging by the photo, the sole of the right boot is already worn out. Skechers asked me to send them back and their quality assurance department determined that they were worn out due to excessive wear and tear over a long period of time. After two months of wearing just one hour a day, six days a week? How is this a great time…

Good Fit Good Deal for Road Running

With many foot, leg and back injuries/disorders, shoes are important. I was very happy when I tried them on how fit they are. great design. another story. I've had Sketchers many times and love them, except for those flimsy little leathery lace eyes. very weak point. My podiatrist made me a set of these outrageously expensive molded foot orthotics and put me in a pair of New Balances worth over $100. Yes a good shoe but like most I do a lot of work and have slightly bowed feet which causes the…

PAIN RELIEF!: Highway Run

After four left ankle/leg surgeries in less than a year and the fusion discussed earlier, I was having trouble walking. The surgeon recommended Sketchers "Rocker Bottom" can help. Well, they're certainly hard to find in stock, and it wasn't a top choice. I saw them make the Rocker Bottom Best of the Year 2020 list. I have tried very expensive shoes advertised as the best with built in suspension but it was very painful and difficult to wear. I couldn't believe it would help much as the rocker…

Fits like a shoe! (Why do the gloves get all the credit?)

Perfect color balance for me. I don't really like flashy shoes, but I want them to at least stand out. "Hey! New shoes?!" So I went for a white and blue After Burn design. There was a catch, however. They only had this design in my Extra Wide size. I've been wearing wide shoes for a while and since I couldn't tell how much wider they would be I took a chance ordering them. Lady Luck was in my corner. It turns out that EW is what I really needed all along. I have never had shoes that fit so…

Worst pair of sneakers I've ever owned

I bought these because I've been walking every day since COVID started and only had one pair of walking shoes. I walk my area's sidewalks and streets, so I need something that's appropriate for that surface. I also have wide feet so it seemed to me that this is exactly what I need. They are very heavy and clumsy with a big thick hard bottom. I was surprised that they felt a bit tight on the forefoot and toe of my foot even though I ordered them very large. I wiped it down like it needed…

Size not as expected - order 3-4 in size range with Revain Wardrobe

Cons: Size not as expected - order 3-4 in the Revain size range. Which was a surprise as I had never worn a '16' before but a 13-14 instead. Pros: The Revain wardrobe process where you order multiple sizes and return the wrong sizes worked well for me. The outsole featured a slightly stiffer outsole along with standard (nowadays) ephemeral air pocket foam. As others have noted, the sole is therefore stiffer than a running shoe. but I think it's a good thing. The pad feels like a rubbery, firm…
