🚲 Aero Bars Road Bike Protector by Skinz Protective Gear Review

This is a great product, it works well, it lasted a good 750 miles from Florida to Memphis. I'm glad it provides excellent protection for my trike.

Bike Guard after having to scrape dead bugs off my bike for a recent race. Arrived on time, easy to install and cleared my bike of bugs/sand/road grime within a 3 hour ride. The protector was easy to remove and dust off, just put it back in the carry case. Very happy with my purchase.

I recently purchased this item and have only had one opportunity to use it. not ideal for my bike rack. I have a Thule device that I buy from the dealer with my VW and it is different than the one shown in the photo but works fine. it kept moving at 70mph and I was very happy I didn't find any bugs or dirt on the bike when the cover was removed. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone who has roof racks.

I may have read the description a little too quickly but I thought when they said "aero" they meant it was aero. They don't. You mean it has extra stuff if your bike has AERO handlebars. So if you have a tricycle with aero handlebars, 5 stars. If you have a bike without aero bars like I do, then you have this silly extra stuff valve. Works as hoped. I'm a size 58, the QR PR6 is pretty much my height. It fits well but I have no problem putting it on. So far I've used it 4 times and no problems. However, I take action when I drive onto the freeway. I throw a kitchen towel over the aero bars to give the lid some protection and minimize any chafing. It's a tiny extra investment in protection that protects both the cover from sharp edges on my bike and my bike from impacting rocks that the thin tread membrane can't stop. That…
