This portal is no longer maintained and is therefore no longer useful.

I am very disappointed. This portal has been on my son's wish list for a year so he can play Skylanders on our iPad. It was $100, so that was his only birthday present from us. Then his grandparents, aunts and uncles bought him matching figurines ($20 to $50 each). Also, all of his Christmas gifts were figurines, and from November through the first half of 2019, he saved all the money he was earning at $0.25 per job to buy more figurines. LESS THAN A YEAR LATER, this portal is no longerโ€ฆ

Fantastic tablet game, buyers please study before buying.

Great game, have been playing since it came out. As a PC gamer, this was my first encounter with Skylanders in general and I loved it. People seem to have compatibility issues since this is a very demanding game. No doubt it only works on certain devices and it would be great if you do a little research before you hit buy and leave a bad review. All compatible devices can be found on the Skylanders website. In addition, developers are now adding more compatible devices, even phones (Note 4)โ€ฆ

Skylanders = Awesomeness on iPad

This was a Christmas present for my 6 year old son. He went crazy when he got it and everything worked great. First installed on my iPad Retina (3rd gen) and it worked great. We downloaded the premium version which installs 6GB of data locally. After that, a WiFi connection is no longer required. We then installed it on the iPad Air 2. Both installation methods worked perfectly. I was very impressed with the gameplay and how well the portal and wireless controllers worked. You turn on theโ€ฆ

We had it a few months ago and it's still a hit!

My son is 6 and got this for Christmas. He loves to! He wanted Skylanders but we already had an iPad and he just got a DS for his birthday so I didn't want to buy another gaming system like Wii, Xbox etc. I was happy to see it in the tablet version. He can play with figures at home and play some games with codes on the go. He likes that he can buy old Skylanders and they work. Portal's battery life is pretty good. That's about what I expected. We quickly used 24 batteries but he played it a lot
