I had a 2mm notch in the hose that had 'Slime' in it. The "slime" breaks down the stickiness of such stains and flows out. I was hoping that the slime brand's patches would be more resistant to "goo". It's not, it will flow. But for pinholes it works fine.

Scab works well as a very temporary fix. Adhesive tends to stick unreliably for a long time. The last time I used the Skab, it survived the initial inflation. When I realized I had to deflate a tire to get past the pads, the Skab wasn't holding tight. What's worse is that where it was stuck it couldn't remove it, but where it was let go I couldn't get it to stick again. I know most cyclists would just pack extra tubes but after a very positive experience with them I keep them in addition to the spare tubes. Last fall I rode over 200 miles with a friend.
