🚲 Slime STB-970028/10 Self-Sealing Smart Tube: Presta Valve, 700 x 28-35mm - Durable and Easy Maintenance Tube for Hassle-Free Biking Review

The first time there was a rupture related to the valve - green slime flowed out. It happened almost immediately - I thought I'd just eaten a lemon and decided to try another. The second tube lasted about 3 months, then the mucus seemed to try to "patch" the valve itself. I tried to inflate the tire and green goo squirted out of the vent until the tire lost air. Suffice it to say I won't be buying anything like this again.

I had 3 errors. Front and rear tires, so there's nothing in there. These tubes failed near the valve. Good for a day, 10 mile ride and next day accurate. I've tried pressures of 70 pounds, 80 pounds. I'm in Hawaii so they're either old or suffered from overheating in transit or something. It's not that hot here. It's just not worth the risk anymore. The slime cannot patch its own hole and is never used to deal any real damage. Might as well get the main pipes.

I was very disappointed with this product although the Revain return worked exceptionally well. Installed the phone with no problems. I inflated the tube to the correct pressure and after about 10 minutes I heard the tube start to leak (rapidly). I have changed many tubes and knew there was a risk of pinching and tube failure (which would be my fault). It was very difficult to assemble, the tube was too long for my rim. I like to pull a little in the pipe for installation. I had a hard time holding on to too many wrinkles. I don't know if it was my narrow rims or what the problem was. It is difficult to say how the bladder inflated in the tire. Flipped it and it seems fine. Bought these in March as they were pretty cheap as additional items. However, the first one I had to install drained immediately within the first week of use for no apparent reason. Autopsy revealed what appeared to be less than 1/8 inch, presumably within the "instant seal" size, but perhaps not in the "instant seal" tread area, perhaps more at the tire sidewall boundary. To be honest, this is actually a tube with mucus in it. That's all. In my case the sealing function didn't work: almost immediately (during the second ride on this tube, in the rear wheel) I got a puncture and the slime spattered, but the hole could not be sealed (see photos).
