First reaction: The quality seems good, the light is very bright for the price (much better than the one I bought on eBay a few years ago) and the frame seems pretty solid. The suction cups are pretty weak - it fell off my windscreen twice yesterday so I washed the screen very well and tried again. So far, so good. I really like this product and for the most part they work great. The two problems I see are: 1) once set to the desired function, they sometimes revert to the fixed light setting and need to be adjusted again; 2) I recently noticed that the clear diffuser was starting to melt and deface, I'm not sure if it's an internal heat issue or the sun, but that's exactly what happens. I bought this light for extra lighting in my squad car when I switched to the day shift. The lighting was "good" for me, but I had a hard time moving traffic in the sunlight. This light is as bright as the famous brand. I put it next to the Whelen Dual Avenger and they are very close. The suction cups are not very good. I removed them and used double sided tape. The light itself is subtle and bright and didn't disappoint for a cheap device. But the suction power is terrible and cannot be set as high as before the visor. It has worked great so far lying on my desk, just holding it in place with suction cups. However, the cups are attached to the device by a small metal flange, which in turn rests lightly against the window.
