【HIGH CUSTOMIZATION】The cage is exclusively designed to provide protection and mounting options for Sony A6400 A6100 users especially for V-loggers, also compatible with Sony A6300/A6500. It would not block any buttons on the camera and you are able to access not only the battery but even the SD card slot. 【PERFECT PROTECTION】Secured tightly via a 1/4’’ screw on the bottom and a M2.5 screw on the side to prevent the camera from twisting. Rubber pads on the bottom protect your camera body from scratching. 【MOUNTING OPTIONS】Features 1/4’’ & 3/8’’ threaded holes, and 3/8’’ locating holes for ARRI standard, allowing you to attach more accessories, such as cold shoe 2044. The thread holes on the bottom of the cage enables you to attach the cage to tripod. Great, but why isn't there a hot shoe mount where it should be?

I really like the cage. It's well built. The only issue I had is that it doesn't have a built in hot shoe mount on the right side like previous models. The thing is, people often buy cages for their a6400 because they want to mount their mics on the side so they can see the screen. It's weird they didn't put it there. I bought hot shoe mounts and set them aside and it worked fine but just added bulk. But overall I am very happy with this purchase.

The BEST camera cage!

After purchasing the new Sony a6400, I needed more accessories to get my job done. The SmallRig cage for the a6400 came in very handy. It's well built, has plenty of places to attach anything I need, and even helps protect my body from falls or damage in my bag. I highly recommend this for your camera as it doesn't bloat too much and you'll forget about it after a few uses. 2 things I recommend buying with the cage: 1) SmallRig Cold Shoe Mount - the cage doesn't have a built-in cold shoe

Excellent quality, with some imperfections

As always for a small installation, the build quality is excellent. However, I'm a bit disappointed with the design, mainly the lack of cold shoe mounts. Of course, you can screw on the brackets, but if they are built in and not something else, then you will have to buy them, as well as an extra thing that sticks out of the cage. a bit annoying. And knowing that the a6400 will specifically have a folding screen, one on the side or even just one in the middle would be great. Even if the hot shoe

The BEST camera cage!

Good grip but problems

Very good fit and finish. This grip will not scratch the camera. But there are several questions. Firstly, it comes with a magnetic mounting screw holder but without a hex key holder that you have to use as if the camera is not dangling in a cage. Second, there is a 1/4 20 socket at the bottom of the unit, but the center tripod socket is larger and you now have to mount the camera off-center.
