Description of 📸 Enhance Your Vlogging Experience with the SMALLRIG Video Camera Cage for Insta360 ONE R Camera - Model 2798

【HIGH CUSTOMIZATION】SmallRig Vlogging Cage 2798 is a form-fitting aluminum cage that protects the camera while providing plenty of accessory mounts, without interfering with the camera's button or port. Please note: if you need to attach 52mm filters, please choose to buy SmallRig 2901. 【MOUNTING POINTS】The cage 2798 features two cold shoes and several 1/4”-20 threaded holes for accessory mounting, like a microphone or a small LED light. 【PRESS-TYPE LOCKING】You can simply slide the camera into the cage from the side, and press the cover to lock it in place. 【BOTTOM STRUCTURE】The folding fingers on the bottom let you attach the camera on a variety of mounts and surfaces; while the 1/4”-20 mount at the center on the bottom makes it possible to attach the camera on a 1/4"-20 tripod. 【PLEASE NOTE】This cage is NOT compatible with Insta360 Lens Guards for ONE R 360 Dual-Lens Mod (Pair). Please don't use the cage in seawater because it has no acid and corrosion resistance.

Nice case but heavy.

A very durable case for your camera. Has 2 cold boots which are very useful and I love that the 1/4 has no adjustment so the selfie stick is always invisible. Only the release is very violent.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Very expensive

Cage for insta360 one r

Super. The integrated GoPro mount is a great idea that I would like to implement in some form in the osmo action cage. Very easy to slide in and out for a quick battery change! Super comfortable.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Built in FORD Rugged good for accessories

When I bought my Insta360 One RI I wasn't impressed with the cage it came with. While searching for aftermarket cages I came across SmallRig and fell in love immediately. It's built like a tank and comes with cold shoes to attach accessories to the cage. Now my Insta360 has a cool blogging setup, as does my mirrorless camera.

Leaves and unsightly ring when using 360 mod

This works quite well with the 4K and 1 inch mods although the whole camera is a little loose so I'm not sure how good it is will work . work to keep things waterproof. Where this doesn't work is when using the 360 mod. There is a specific ring, probably along the Stitch line. I have attached a photo.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • No power

Great camera cage for Insta360 ONE R

I bought this because I was tired of unscrewing the lens cap on my 1" Insta360 every time I wanted to change the battery. Now all I have to do is unlock it and take the whole camera out of the lens and that's it, replace the battery and put it back in the cage. I feel a lot better, the camera is in a metal cage. I've bought SmallRig cages for ALL the cameras I own (four total, along with three Sony mirrorless cameras).

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some issues

High quality and very useful heavy cage.

It is well assembled, has a 1/4 inch thread EVERYWHERE, has very practical cold shoe mounts and above all it does not have to be unscrewed by 1 inch thanks to the side opening Protective film for the lens mod. When hiking I have a problem: it is very heavy. This thruhiking is a deal breaker. Also, it causes much more bounce when using a 10ft extended selfie stick. I would say 5 stars for the vlog and action cam use where the weight is not an issue and 2 stars for the use where the weight is an…

A much better solution for those with a 1 inch mod

Overall I really like this product. It's much better to be able to switch cameras even with a 1" mod without having to unscrew the front lens. The only reason I didn't save it is because I was hoping to get a beefed up battery, and then it wouldn't fit in this case. I hope they make one that fits the charged battery. The only negative thing I found was that the camera wobbled a little with the 1" mod.

Pros
  • Stabilizers
Cons
  • Base required

High quality and very useful heavy cage.

This is very well built, has 1/4" threads all over, has really useful cold shoe mounts and most importantly thanks to the side opening you don't have to unscrew the 1" lens protector. For me there is only one problem with hiking: it is very difficult. This thruhiking is a deal breaker. Also, it causes much more bounce when using a 10ft extended selfie stick. I would say 5 stars for the vlog and action cam use where the weight is not an issue and 2 stars for the use where the weight is an issue.

Much better than factory

This mount has a couple of great advantages. First, if you have an inch sensor with a large front lens, you don't have to remove it to put it in the mount, which is nice. I don't shoot with this thing, but I don't have to take it off to install it. The side mount works great and the camera is nice and solid. Second, you have a proper tripod mount to use instead of messing around with those ridiculous GoPro mounts. Third, you don't have an extra layer of plastic where the keys are, so you can…
