Thicker Product at a Lower Price

Some reviews seem to confuse 90 mil butyl with 150 mil foam. Definitely not the same. Foam helps a little with noise, but it's more effective for thermal insulation, while butyl adds volume, which really helps with soundproofing. I like this product because it is thicker/heavier than the competition (90mil vs 80mil) but also cheaper. Golden station wagon 👍

works but. on noise reduction

is good for noise reduction. I had a bare plate that resonated with my exhaust. This product lowered the tone dramatically. Other than that, it's not physically as advertised. It's not thick butyl rubber. it is a light airy foam. But it works

Does the job at a decent price

Had to remove a broken rear window on my '93 Chevy Cheyenne and since I had to remove the back seat and interior panels down to the bare metal I figured I could soundproof these plastic interior panels notorious for their rattling and squeaking. My truck has never been so quiet with soundproofing. I bought a roll to press on and made sure the surface I stuck it to was clean the first time.

Seems to work best in case

Very heavy, thick material. I used it to line the engine bay of my twin engine jet ski. I made the mistake of putting it on outside on a hot sunny day. The butyl and glue became soft and sticky, making it difficult to trim without sticking to the knife and my hands. On the plus side, due to the heat, adhesion was phenomenal. On the seller's recommendation, I covered a S'mart Favorite 90 with a S'mart RED 150. As far as noise reduction goes, it seems to work well and I noticed a noticeable…

Lighter and less dense than expected

I have used this material as the top layer of soundproofing in the engine cover on my twin engine jet ski. As recommended by the seller. I wore S'mart RED 150 over a base butyl S'mart Favorite 90 muffler. Favorite was quite heavy and dense, and I was surprised that RED was quite light, like heavy foam. I also found it to be a bit trucker when applied - once the plastic backing was removed from the adhesive it stuck to whatever it touched, so great care was needed to place it correctly before…
