It is great! good for cats

my cat loves them! He uses them until he can scratch them and then we recycle them and buy new ones. My cat likes them a lot and they help him not to scratch our furniture. So we have a few in our apartment. However, they wobble a bit. If you temporarily remove the doorknob and put a scratching post between the door and the handle, it will stay in place much better. My cat likes it because it scratches easier.

Better for kittens or small cats

That's all on my bill. You had to look at the dimensions and understand how small it is. As you can see, it is more suitable for kittens. My fully grown kitten looks like a dwarf to him and he has no idea what to do with him. Well made, seems solid. I didn't try hanging it because I wanted to use it as a floor scraper. I think it might be ok as a hanging scratching post, but definitely not a floor scratching post for a big cat. The price is very low, so I don't feel bad about this purchase.

My cats love it for cats

When I just had an older cat, one of them lasted about six months with minimal scratching needs. I got my four month old kitten from the shelter and immediately bought three more and different scratching posts. He is an aggressive scratcher with feline energy. Just two weeks after these scrapers went into stock it was time to replace one. One side curled so they wear out quickly but the price is very good and cats love them so I will be buying more. Note: They are made to be hung on a door but…

Suitable for floor mounting, not for doors

I have rescued 2 cats, a large male who is neutered, a small male who is neutered, both aged 6 years. Having spent most of their lives outdoors, scratching is a well-developed natural reflex. I ordered hanging door scratching posts to give additional options beyond my couches. They are not suitable as door hangers as they are too long to be noticed or cared for, but they are excellent as floor scrapers. Both cats rubbed their heads against them before attacking and scratching them with their…

Paws need claws: Scratching post

My two older cats were bored and disinterested when we first bought a cardboard scratching post. It ended up unused in a corner. A little later we adopted a cute new kitten and she found him right away and went crazy with her claws. The older kittens learned what to do from her and now they all use this and our other cardboard scratching posts regularly. I love that you can hang these up so they can stretch while standing. I think sometimes it interferes with opening the door, so we just put it

They Better Have Big Cats

My five cats really love this scratching post, but it's not a door hanger, at least not a door hanger in my house. Our cats would have to be a lot bigger to use it as a door hanger. This thing is very short when hanging on the door and my cats couldn't reach it without stretching awkwardly so we just threw it on the floor and the cats took advantage of it anyway. They like it very much on the floor. The benefit of having it on the ground is that they can also stack it on it, roll it over it…

Cat Gives 5 Stars

Our cat LOVES this thing. We sprinkle it with silver tendrils and it has a great time scratching, rolling and then sleeping on it. Pros: - It was very cheap (I think we paid $4.19 for it) and since the cat will easily destroy it and it will eventually have to be replaced, this is an important consideration. - it holds the catnip/silver tendril very well - the cat loves it - doesn't take up too much space - you can remove the cardboard backing and scratch the underside. Cons: - It creates a mess
