Road and Trail Running Sunglasses

THE MOST AMAZING OFFER ON THE MARKET: Ideal for road and trail running, quick change lenses and durable product. Forget Oakley and go for this brand instead.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Problem

Great glasses, dull body

Good lightweight riding glasses. I will continue to buy the Smith for road and trail. However, the fact that they can't fit into a huge case without removing the brackets is pretty poor design.

Pros
  • High test results for fit and durability
Cons
  • Negative impression

Accessories have changed my life for the better

Searching for shades that suit my cool lifestyle. I bought them, put them on, immediately grew a mullet and a mustache. Now I have seven kids, all racing motocross. Crowned prom king retrospectively in '88. Perfect 5/7.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Mostly ok but...

Waste of money for men

Lenses dramatically distort the image, which is not safe for sports that require hand-eye coordination. Based on the value for money I would call this company a complete cash scam. Give them to someone you want to give a baseball to eat in the face.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Useless features

Surprisingly comfortable

My third pair of Smith cycling sunglasses. Partner says what's best for me. Comfortable feminine fit and sizing for my face. I love the pink Chromapop lenses for road cycling. The kit also includes a darker lens. Disappointed that Smith didn't include a third lens, clearly for mountain biking like my previous two pairs. Must be purchased separately :-( $$

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Fine

The best glasses for cycling.

Ideal for cycling; the best i ever had. The chroma pop technology is superb and 2 lenses are literally like 2 glasses. Very light, adjustable nosepiece adds to the comfort factor. All Smith products are very good, but quite expensive (the suggested retail price for these glasses is around $250!), so buying them for $90 is a fair deal.

Pros
  • Handy
Cons
  • Unsafe

Won't change your life as much as you might hope

Not bad but I'm not sure they're much better than cheaper glasses. I was hoping that the Chromapop would change my life, but it's like any other decently tinted lens. I think my expectations were too high. I only gave two stars for "transparency" because it doesn't make clothes transparent which I'm trying to say.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Good but not perfect

Lens cracked, older Pivlock design preferred

These sunglasses came with two lenses and the second time I rode them the lens cracked at the bridge in low light. There was no impact, there must have been a production issue. I sent the lens back to Smith (lifetime warranty!) and should be getting a new replacement lens shortly. Also, I don't like the new style of side hinge mechanism that holds the lenses in the same way as the older, simpler Pivloc system. The lenses don't seem that reliable and the mechanism is too complicated. I have hadโ€ฆ

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black
